Status is still Refused...what does this mean? Can this mean they still haven't looked at the 221g documents I submitted? Or have they already looked them over and still didn't accept? :/ The status date has been updated once, when I submitted the documents, that's it. Status is still Refused.Thanks.

Hi.. I am also waiting for a reply after submission of 221g document. They requested for my birth certificate at the end of my interview saying I will get my visa after 7 days of submission, which I did on 18th dec 2015.

Still the status show administrative processing..

Not sure when I will hear from Singapore U.S. embassy on my IR1 status.. Waited very long already since filing of my case to interview..this is taking a toll on our patience now...

Just to mention, my hubby is a U.S. Citizen and we got married three years ago in Singapore..

It seems to be a long wait to join him for good and start family for real... As of now he is travelling to see me every two months..

At the interview did they say refused or they said just return the requested document ?

Was your status online "Refused" after the interview? or in AP?

At the interview the VO said I should give the birth certificate and then the visa will be issued in a week's time.

I am not sure what was the status after the interview online, I checked only after submission of the birth certificate and the status shows Administrative processing..

" Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow....."

Not sure why the visa officer said I will not have to attend another interview and the visa will be issued after submission of birth certificate and that too in a week..

It's been more than a week now but no news at all..

What could be the reason? What can happen now?

Hi, babybabeto14. Not sure if you were asking me, but at the interview they told my husband to give me a 221g (I needed to re-establish domicile), everything else looks fine. But the status online has always been refused.

REFUSED (most times will stay), AP (everyone goes into=a normal process, READY (at times for some ISSUED (visa is in PP)

NOT always updated for everyone ???? however some says REFUSED even after they get visa & arrived here

Ohh ok I didn't know that.

The CO told my fiance they needed his original birth certificate with translation. So while I was there we did that, and

he dropped it off at the embassy. They told ok we will call you. So since the day of the interview we are still in AP.

Tomorrow will be 1 month. I expected that considering he's a guy, it's a middle eastern country and with all the

craziness happening I know they will take their time with background checks.

All we can do my friend is wait and be patient.
