Is this normal??

Passed my interview in ten minutes in the Montreal (canada) Consulate. They didnt need extra paperwork and I was told I'd recieve the visa in 2 1/2 -3 weeks. Today is five months since the interview and we've just been continuously told that our case is in admin and to be patient. We're stressed because we thought that it was all over after the interview. This is the longest waiting period since the process started nearly an year and a half ago. I just want to know if this is normal...has it happened to others? I've heard of one other case but that is it.

Is the beneficiary originally from a high fraud country?

Has the USC contacted their senator or congressman?

Thanks for the link...

I have read it and it´s very useful

My heart is broken...it´s a horrible situation to be on AP

Our visa was approved Nov 25 but I took my passport with me because of our 1st wedding anniversary (we went to an island in Mexico)...

I sent my passport to the embassy through DHL as soon as I came back to my country, and we are still on AP.

I have written to the Embassy but they don´t reply... I have called them and nothing...

We don´t know what else to do........

Hi Priya,

I am also in the similar situation, attended interview in Singapore. Was told to give birth certificate and I gave them what they asked for next day.. The CO told me that once I submit my birth certificate I should get my visa in 7 days but no news for over 10 days now..

Seems this administrative processing is a black hole.

Worried sick!!!

Prayers for you too..

Hi VJers !

Just to tell you that today a miracle happened, and my visa is ISSUED !!!

Thank God, we can continue with our plans now.

So don´t lose hope, try to write or call to the Embassy or Consulate of your countries to ask about your cases.

I did it on Dec 17 and I received an answer the 30th..... and finally my visa is done today !

Good luck to everybody who is still waiting in AP.

Blessings
