...not sure what you think all the rest of the people in the Canada forum are doing/have done ;)

I thought the Canada forum was only for those moving TO Canada, so my apologies. Also we already went through immigration going that way on my end, haha.

Lots of us in that position! my USC husband has been up here for 7 years as of this week. Wishing you luck with your journey :)

This way feels longer but it is actually taking us less time than getting him legal here did (fingers crossed that once I submit my additional documentation it won't take another 5 months!).

This entire website is dedicated exclusively to immigrating to the USA. There often are some issues from each country that is relevant to a process especially for a beneficiary from there; beyond the basic process that everyone goes through.

Where are you guys in the process exactly? Just thinking about it or have you sent away the I-130?

Nope haven't sent the paperwork off yet. We're just gathering info on what to expect so we can have everything set to go once we do send the paperwork off. And that's a nice thing to have on this forum, a forum for applicants from different countries.

Ah okay. Well take things one step at a time and don't overwhelm yourself. :) You can always take more time if you need it. You rarely can speed up the process (basically someone has to be dying, or being deployed etc... to have anything move fast due to request.)

I have, aside from last year but I'm going to send that one in this weekend if I can. After doing some more research I think we're going to apply this summer and have my parents and/or mom co-sponsor for us. I know we can move in with them temporarily if it comes down to that as well. Thanks everyone for your help so far.
