My 9-year-old brother passed his interview and got his visa today! This is huge for many reasons.

My mom says the interview (in Moscow) took about 10 minutes. I will post the questions that they were asked when I know them.

For some reason the CEAC status is Administrative processing, but my mom says the IO told her my brother got the visa straight out, nothing else required. Hopefully it will update to issued soon.

Questions to my mom:

1. How long has the child lived with you? (he is adopted, 4 years)

2. When did you get your immigrant visa? (July 2014)

3. How much time have you spent in the US since you got your visa? (5 months)

4. Why so little time? (because the child has no other relatives in Russia)

The IO just smiled and nodded.

Questions to my brother:

1. How old are you and what's your date of birth?

The IO wished him a happy belated birthday.

Much easier than we expected, actually. They did not ask for any papers at all.

Hi everyone

filing date: november04,2015

Noa2 : March09,2016

my case was just approved on March 9,2016 thanks god . I'm waiting for the approval notice.

I just need some informations about visa bulletin family , my husband is a permanent resident, so it scares me I just found out that the date on the visa bulletin they are working on in morocco is August 2014 , can anyone tell me how time takes from nvc to contact me. Is there anyone here from morocco ????

So is that mean my visa is no current and I have to wait 2 years and then NVC will start the visa process OMG i just flipped

Hello everyone. My wife got interview on March 10, 2016 and she was approved. But on ceac website nothing changed until today. It's still Ready...No AP, no issues....Do you think it's normal?

Yes..dorchar11,after 4 to 5 days of interview,it will appears issued.

Before 2013, f2A visa used to take about 5 years to be current and this discouraged many LPR from filing for their spouses. Can someone tell us how the process got faster after 2013?

@nimra. Yes he did took the big digital album along with him. But they never asked for it. Before he got to the window CO- already had our filed open and my husband was able to see the pics of us before he showed his album. Bcoz those were the pics I submitted with I-130 as a proof of marriage. Also I Gave him some small shutterfly printed albums and as we both were scared so he printed about 30 pics from the days I spent with him when I was in pak. But they didn't ask for anything.

In 2013 or 2012 (not sure exactly what year), all pending cases were changed to current and everyone who was waiting for their PD to become current got their visas issued, therefore the process got faster as now they don't have pending cases backlog anymore.
