Philippines Medical Exam St Lukes and NVC Case number

My Fiance has a medical exam tomorrow and one of the required paperwork they list on the website is the NVC case number from the NVC. The problem is I never received anything from the NVC via email or snail mail with the case number. They gave me the case number over the phone weeks ago. When I called the embassy I gave them the case number and they said they had the case so the interview was set after I paid the fee. When I called back the NVC to ask them to send me something in the email with the case number I got the strangest response that "they had not sent my case yet to the USA embassy". So I thought that was strange because when I called them they had the case and I was able to set the interview. So the bottom line is can my fiancee go to the interview with my case number but without the official paper from the NVC with the case number on it?

The letter from NVC is NOT needed for the interview. Receipt and copy of the receipt from BPI, copy of the interview confirmation and everything that is listed in the embassy instructions letter.

As for SLEC:

NVC letter OR... the interview confirmation letter/email/page. One or the other is required per the embassy website, SLEC site is incorrect. Simply tell the guard you got the MNL # by phone and give him the required copies of the interview confirmation, if he tried to tell you he needs the NVC letter tell him the embassy websites states otherwise.

What should I bring to my medical examination?

  • DS-260 Confirmation Form (strongly recommended). (for K-1 bring a copy of the DS-160)
  • Appointment letter sent by the National Visa Center or an e-mail confirmation from the Visa Information and Appointment Service.
  • Appropriate medical examination fee.
  • Passport (valid for at least 6 months)
  • Three color pictures (2 inches x 2 inches) with a white background(two are for the visa and one is for the medical report).

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
