I filled out the DS-260 on Saturday and the website crashed 9-10 times while I was doing it and sometimes didn't save information I'd typed in. My husband realized that I left out his middle name (SO STUPID! I know! I was trying to be so careful). I called NVC today assuming that they'd tell me I'd have to wait for a checklist or that it could be changed at the interview, but was prepared to argue with them because the website was a huge problem. To my surprise, the representative told me to email a letter requesting that a note be put in the file but didn't mention anything about checklists or indicate that there might be a delay. Any thoughts about this? Has anyone heard something like this before?

Thanks!!

See that's interesting. I forgot to include a university I attended (did not get a degree from it so that's probably why I didn't think of it at the time) and when I called the NVC they told me to write a letter, but instead of telling me to send it to them, they told me to take it with me to the embassy and hand it over during my interview.

That is strange! I was surprised and asked her specifically to make sure she meant to email the letter in now, and she said to send it to nvcelectronic@state.gov!

Yeah, the whole process and the way and amount of time in which they respond to things doesn't make a ton of sense, unfortunately.

This is not an issue and he can mention it at interview. There is never a checklist on the ds-260 except for when it hasnt been submitted at all.
