The consulate told us we might need a wavier. I have emailed the embassy and uscis to see if we are gonna stay in Ap until we provide a wavier. He has a ten year ban we are going into our 9th year.

Ok this explains the whole waiting time. The fact that there us a incomplete 10 year ban changes the whole calculus. You will need a waiver or you can simply wait another year until the ban expires. If I were in your place I'd try the waiver and see what happens.

If you are only in the 9th year of a 10 year visa ban you will need a waiver for sure. Did you hire a lawyer to help you with the case? I am thinking you should have already applied for the waiver(if they let you) before you ever even went to interview. Or perhaps apply for the waiver right now...I would hire a US immigration lawyer that does these sort of cases for your specific country frequently so you have help.

I would like to know if they want us to provide a I 212 wavier how would i know he needs it. who do i contact? we provided a wavier in 2009 and it was denied because we did it before our interview and the consulate told us that we werent supposed to do it until they ask us to. Im very confused dont know what to do please advise me. Who do i contact to know if they are waiting for a waiver?

I have contacted UsTraveldocs in jordan and she has my email "escalated to post" its been two days since ive sent the email. I also spoke with a lady at the embassy and she told me to email Uscis office to see if they want us to provide a wavier. she also told me to call uscis in the states if i didnt get a response from the office in Jordan. Ustraveldocs told me that his case is in final processing in the consulate section and they are reviewing the case for a final descision. Please share any thoughts. Im very worried.

I can only suggest finding a good lawyer who has experience with all this...It really is too complicated otherwise. That being said if you already know you will need the waiver at minimum you could always gather up all the information and whatever documents need to be filled out to file for the waiver.

And it seems backwards to me why they would want you to wait to get a waiver when they know you will need one or you will be denied.

I have a lawyer. She is not saying much. She told me AP is a black hole. I contacted USCiS in the states and told me to wait until AP is finished and the consulate will notify you via email if they require you ro file a wavier or submit certain docs. I called Ustraveldocs and they said when the consulate sees your email they will respond to all your inquires. so hopefully i hear something that can get me through this. Hopefully. ☺

Hello Shaima,

I think you have to login on the website. I login here https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ I hpe this helps. Make an account and write down the name and password you make because your gonna be logging in a lot to check for updates, and when you call USTRAVELDOCS for info they usually ask for the user name (email) that you make. Their you can fill out your info and check for updates in your case. It makes communication a lot easier. Im not engaged I have been married to my husband for 10 years now. Thank you for our kindness I hope you get to see your dad soon. If anyone would like to contact me I do have an instagram account :hopefulmuslim. Good luck everyone and Im still waiting for a reply to my email its been fove days? We have been in Administrative Processing for. 9 weeks almost. I hope we get out of this quickly.

Hello everyone, thought I'd give everyone an update my husband's ten year ban,it  is almost over. If you have any info on what I should do once the ban is over that would be great. His ban will be over in March of 2018. Happy holidays and thank you.
