Good afternoon all,

I have a question and i need help.

Trying to fill out I-129F for fiancée, when I saw that the application is asking for A# for previous wife. I don't have the number since I destroyed all docs relating to her.

My question is the following:

1- how do I get that number?

2- is it really a show stopper? Would I get an RFE of i don't fill out that entry?

Thanks

I scheduled an appointment with USCIS local office (infopass) for tomorrow.

I was surprised they have appointments this fast

I'd put Unknown....that is a truthful answer. USCIS can look it up on their own if they need to.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

I went to the local USCIS office (infopass). I was there for about 30 minutes. The clerk was very nice.

She told me that she can't give me the A# since it is somebody else's number and under the privacy act, they can only give it to the person it belongs to.

She advised to leave the box blank. She said they can look it up.

Thank you all for the help.

USCIS would not provide the A#. They said that it was not something they can provide to me. They only provide that to the person it belongs to.
