My fiance just recieved his passport in the mail from the US consulate and it says his K1 visa expires in June 2016 but underneath that it says the Petition Expiration is January 16th 2016. We arent planning on going to the States until February. HELP! Does it matter if the petition expires because we got the visa? why would they put that on the visa? Do I need to extend it somehow?

Although it doesn't matter, sometimes it has caused a problem at the POE because the personnel apparently didn't know any better.
