Hi jempot1188! Had my sputum test last dec 14-16 and oulmo eval last dec 17. It's my 7 weeks and 1 day today but haven't called sled yet. Will try to call next week. Were you able to call?

Yes i did call them but they said its not ready yet ill try again today or monday

I emailed slec today around 5pm, unfortunately they said my result is not yet available.

Hi! I got my result at exactly 7 weeks and 3 days I called them twice a day until I got my result. When the nurse told me that my result is okay and asked me to come back on January 4th, I called again to double check if I am getting it right. Same thing was mentioned to me. On January 4th at around 11 am I went to SLEC and the guard on duty stamped my receipt FOR IMMUNIZATION. But because I have scar on my left lung, the doctor told me that they will defer my immunization and shots will be given on my arrival in the US. I was frustrated of course.

During my interview at the US EMBASSY, I overheard my co- K1s that their vaccines were not given because they lack supplies. I dont know which is true. Please let me know Guys if they have given you your vaccines. I am just puzzled on their reasons that they dont administer shots if patient have scar. I have read some blogs and forums about lung scar but they were given vaccines for their medical completion. My children were deferred also because they have clotting factor disorder.

my results not available yet but scheduled release should be on feb 11, 2 more days.. is it really normal that they will redo the xrays? coz the reason i went to this sputum culture is because they saw fluid on my lungs since i am a dialysis patient, sooo saying this on the xray again they will see those again and what are are they gonna ask me to do again? another culturing even it turns out to be negative? i have been working out with my pulmo for 2 mos and even had CT scan for all this so i would have back up when i go back there. im just hoping they will not cause me any delays again due to this known facts ive already addressed to them since the beginning. what you guys think?

Hi jempot! After your culture they asked you again for another xrays? Did you call them today? I am sure your sputum culture are already available just be patient.

yes benito i called today they said it wont be out until feb 11, ill try to call again tomorrow see what they say.. im sure itll be negative but why ask for another xray?

Hi jempot1188! Do not worry, slec would just like to rule out TB. I'm sure you passed the sputum culture as no one called you during the 8th week. I called slec 10 mins ago, my result is ready and they asked me to go back on monday. Try to call slec again tomorrow morning.

I remember my son who is a teenager was asked to have another xray and this time with a different view. Nurse said they have to confirm something. After a few hours, result came back negative and the pulmo doctor explained to him that the first xray was a bit hazy. Dont worry Jempot, you will be fine. You will be ask to have a different chest xray view. Emotera, please let me know if you were given vaccines. Btw, have they found a scar on your xray?

i called today but still no result, they told me maybe it will be ready tomorrow and now they are saying i will redo my xray depending on the result of the sputum(which is most likely gonna be negative ) if so it is negative.. i will not need to redo xray again.. i hope so.. thanks for cheering me up!
