When i send the I-130 application do i just send the application and the money, then wait for them to ask me for paper work like the marriage license Ect.

And my future husband does not have his dads name on the birth certificate, does it have to be on there?

This process drived me mad but is coming to a end thank God. ???

hi

no, you send copies of everything now, plus proof of bonafide marriage

read the instructions of the i130, it is all there

plus if any documents aren't in English, a translation of such copies need to be attached

no, his dad's name doesn't need to be there but if his parents are married why isn't he there?

there are tons of people who's dads aren't present in their birth certificates

hi

such as what misinformation?

it is always best that you educate yourself in the process by reading the instructions on the forms and read the guides here in order to know and understand the immigration process

Go to USCIS.gov website and click on "ask questions". then click on :ask Emma'

a new feature that gives answers to visa 7 immigrating questions .

You said your [future husband] are you married now ? and what name did he used

to get marry=that should be the name he used & you will use.

If he had another last name I'd say change it if he wants after the immigration process

ends and not cause confusion with doing both at the same time

First thanks for this link, i wont to know all a can to hit the ground running.

I have some questions for you:

NVC steps

Step 7

1) Is the NVC in the beneficiary country?

2) The AOS and the IV documents, do they submitted to the USCIS first?

3) I know i should make a identical copy of all documents i will send the the USCIS. Should i send a copy of the AOS & IV documents to the NVC in the beneficiary country (which is in Jamaica and i live in New York). Should i personally mail the packets to the Kingston Consulate from NY and wait on the USCIS to send it to them with the PAID status?

Answers:

  1. NVC = National Visa Center; it's a document intake facility located in Portsmouth, NH
  2. No
  3. You send nothing to Kingston. Original civil documents are to be hand-carried by the applicant to the interview. Photocopies of civil documents are to be sent to the NVC.

Who do i send the AOS and IV documents to?

I need cavity in this step:

7) Mail AOS packet and IV packet to NVC (NVC is currently asking for both packages to be mailed at the same time which you can do after paying the AOS - Do not wait for the IV fee to send the IV and AOS documents!)
