Wrong birth date on green card

My dad in law has the wrong birth date on his new green card. It is a USCIS error (originally we did put a wrong date on I-485 form but we already called in to correct that and in the system it shows the status to be corrected). I called USCIS and they advised me to send in I-90 form to replace the card. However, he is currently abroad right now. Will he encounter troubles when he enters US next time? He still has a valid visa and AP. Should he show this green card to the custom or just use visa and AP?

the AP is no longer valid since he has a GC, the AP is valid until his interview,

he can enter the US with his GC and then send it to be corrected once he's here
