Have you looked into how easy/difficult it would be for you to have a family reunion in Morocco instead? It might be easier than waiting 12 years.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

Yes, I don't know if you have kids or not ? Do you know how hard to travel with 3 kids and a wife and a baby that week old on top of that how much money I have to spend. Let just think about that for a second. The answer is no.

It will make more since for one person to travel than a entire family especially I have never had even one of my family to visit me her the entire my kids birth and the point is I would like at least one of my family to see my life her and how hard I worked to get where I am at.

I think the Immigration law has to change one day and the should let families visit each other even if they just allow one person each time. It looks like we just going to die in this country alone.

Thanks for the idea and I already thought about that.

Lots of families travel, my Brother will be here next month.

I agree that travelling with a wife can be trying.

Yes, I did travel before with the family, but let me tell it was very very hard especially a long distance.

Where is you brother coming from and his traveling to the USA his alone or with kids and wife?

I just don't like it when people say oh you can travel to see your family. I think this people don't know anything about traveling or my be never been anywhere outside their state not even their country to know how hard to travel especially if you a big family and how expensive .

I received the acceptance confirmation from the USCIS with the receipt number, but not the hard copy yet that will come in the mail 7-10 days. I think that is really fast because I just send the I-130 day after Christmas Do you think that was fast ?

It looks like my file it on it way to California for processing is that where the I-130 goes after it goes first to Arizona and what they do there ?
Also what is the I-797 form ?
Thanks

You're going to be waiting on the priority date becoming current, not USCIS' processing time for your I-130. In your case it literally makes no difference whether USCIS approve the I-130 in five years or five days, because even after approval you are waiting on the priority date, which is ~12 years. How fast or slow USCIS adjudicate the petition will not change that.

He has never been married so no wife, no kids.

Also he has never been here in the winter so a big difference to the summer, -3F outside at the moment.

Yes, I know about the 12 years. I was asking about the other question not the 12 year.

I asked if the process was for the I-130 to be accepted within 4 days fast process since I received the receipt with number that fast ?

Other question I ask those the I-130 goes from Arizona to California and why California ? Also what is the I-797 form ?

Please answer this question if you can and please don't tell me any more about the 12 years it just makes mad to hear that.

Thanks

well, whether it makes you mad or not, the average wait time for the priority date to be reached for a sibling of a USC is around 12 years (more in certain countries). That wait time won't diminish significantly just because you are unhappy with the facts. The fact is that there is a limited number of 'slots' each year for that visa category ... and far more people waiting in the queue than there are available spots....which then causes a back up....it will be far more likely that Congress will one day entirely eliminate this visa category as it serves very little useful purpose.

As far as your sister getting a tourist visa, that won't happen until she (and she alone) convinces a CO that she would return and based on what we've read thus far, it does not sound promising.

You can rant, rave, be unhappy or pout 24/7, but none of that will change our laws. Thanks to a never ending stream of visa abusers, others will continue to have difficulties convincing a CO that they are the 1 in 4000 from some developing country, whose ties are non-existent, who will abide by the terms of a tourist visa.

Immigration laws won't change because you disagree with them. And the petition you filed won't bubble up to the top of the pile any sooner just because you are unhappy. There are no other visa categories that your sister can qualify for....without unique skills, or a college degree or a pile of cash, she will not be able to obtain an H1B or EB3 nor EB5. And at her age, trying to pass herself off as a student (who will return to her country upon graduation) will be an uphill task.

It's just the way it is.

Find her a US Husband?

Still think 12 years going forward is extremely unlikely.

hi

the immigration correspondence comes with that number i797. the i130 is first sent to a lockbox, which distributes the form to the corresponding service center. That's standard processing for any i130 form

I-797 is a notice of action form. There are different types of notice of action. It's what we call NOA1 on the forum. Basically they told you they got your petition and put it in the queue to be worked. Keep it safe.
