I've read here many times that people contact congressman / senator to solve problems with delays (visa, naturalization .... etc). I live in NJ and would like to know whom of these two should we contact regarding this case, and how to do it properly. It's been 13 months since my father filed N-400 (Nov. 2014) or 6 months since they cancelled his interview due to unforeseen circumstances (June 2015). They don't give us any information when we call, all we get is - call back in 30 days. Talked to tier 2, he said call back in two weeks, called back - nothing. Went to office - your application is here, working on it, come back in six weeks.

If there is a chance to get some help from congressman / senator, I would convince my father contact them. So, who is our best call, congressman / senator? I'll google them, dont even know their names, to find the way to contact them.

Thank you in advance

I cleaned My Timeline. Hope nobody minds

You should certainly have your father enlist at least one of his congressional representatives for help.

https://www.opencongress.org/people/zipcodelookup will tell you who they are. Each will have an item on their House or Senate site about being able to help with problems with federal agencies. You print off their Privacy Act release (this is needed so that information can legally be released to them concerning the constituent) and then usually fax or email it to their office, together with a description of the issue.

He should absolutely do this.
