Hello everyone

I am a U.S citizen's son (18 years of age) and i am resident outside the U.S .

My father field the i-130 petition for alien relative today on December 18th ..

I am sharing my case here to know how long dose the processing take until i get the IR-2 visa ?

The processing which i maen : ( the time needed for the i-130 petition to be approved & concular processing & the interview )

i know that the i-130 petition needs 5 moths of processing, But is it 5 moths exactly?? Or it will be approved through 2 or 3 moths ??

I know too that i won't wait for priority date but i need someone who have an experience through i-130 petition and immigration visas to answer my question ?

I am very optimistic that i will get the visa in 6 moths .

there is no way you will receive a visa in 6 months.

There are cases that go quicker- or slower- but yes, about a year or a couple of months more is the current timeframe from filing to interview.
