packet 4 should have contained the interview letter and a list of stuff.

do you have an interview letter? yes? no? if no, why no?

If you read what the DS 2001 is for, you would see that it is used to indicate Applicant Readiness for an immigration interview. So yes, it is required to be sent before the interview and must be sent along with part 1 of the DS 260.

Well, the link I just sent shows different info. Wouldn't hurt to have it but totally up to you. It may not be best to lack information/documents which can cause delays in your processing.
