Hi! Happy to report that we got approved on Dec 20th and Visa is at the local post office, ready for us to pick it up tomorrow. Will be booking flights once it's in our hands and hopefully flying out next week, woo hoo!!!

Just saw another friend on FB saying her DH had to go get fingerprints today at immigration. They've been in America for one year now. I guess I need to look up what comes up NEXT once we are finally there. Don't ever want to go through this saga again!

What's your status, Mrs. Brown?

WOW!!!!!! That is so awesome and your giving me even more hope that ours will be approved soon as well. I know that we are at total different embassies but hearing that you all or approved makes me so happy for you. I emailed our Consulate as well this pass Monday. We haven't heard anything back yet. But my saying always is "NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS IN MY BOOK". But we're still praying that it's approved before the New Year.

Yes, that's what I tried to stick with all along, too - that NO news is GOOD news. Hope it will be done for you all soon.

Hello everyone, I think I'm the only one waiting for approval with PD Dec 9th 2015. It's really frustrating. Did two service requests. Last one said we would hear something within 60 days but didn't hear anything. On 19th NSC transferred my case to Vermont service center. God know for what reason. My husband lives in California and it doesn't even come under jurisdiction of Vermont service enter. It's getting tough. I have visitor visa of US for 10 years. I could have gone but thought that it wouldn't take long so I didn't go. What should I do guys? Any suggestions. I know I just have to keep patience and wait. But it's getting tough these days. It's been more than a year. ???

* Dec 19th got transfer update.

Sorry to hear its taking so long. Your husband is a permanent resident correct? For US citizens Visas are always available and so most of us don't have to go through that PD mess. These days they transfer cases to other centers when there is a backlog at the other center.

It can be a risk trying to get in on a visitor Visa when you are married cause they can send you back if you cannot prove you don't have things requiring you to go back to India.

Unfortunately I don't think there is much you can do but wait for your Visa to become available.

Good luck.

No, He's a US citizen. Yes I don't want to risk it by using my visitor visa since I've waited so long. But some times I just think of giving it a try.

Oh ok, well then its hard to tell, it could be either just an extra backlog of cases, or they are doing some Administrative Processing where they do extra checks before approving your case.

Well if you try going to the US, I would think you should have a return ticket to India, and some good reason that you need to return. I think you know how tiring the trip is and worse if they don't let you enter th US.

Well everyone my husband went to his interview in November. An we got put in AP for more wedding pics and our Cosponsor. My husband forgot to give the officer her AOS package with the other one. So we went all of them back in to the embassy. After being on AP for 1 1/2 mos I looked on the website Thurs and it said that his visa was "REFUSED". We don't know why it was refused but I have an idea. But we haven't heard anything back from them as of this morning. So now we're at a stand still with this process all over again ?.

Ms.F.brown thats terrible!!! I would suggest getting your congressman or senator involved. It sounds like the officer wasn't satisfied that your marriage was legitmate. I'm sorry to hear that but I hope you get the answers soon on how to resolve this.
