great news

congratulations

Thank you so much lol. But we still have a few more months to go. Cause it seems that Jamaica is pushing thier interviews out like 60 or 90 days from the CC date. Smh, be we're staying positive until the end of this crazy process.

Asking for prayers. Husband's interview is this week which he will be going to alone since I am here in the US. It's been such a long and complicated process getting so far, I feel so overwhelmed.

Best of luck to you all! I can imagine how stressful that must feel!

My husband was approved! I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for being on this stupidly long journey for the last 9 months. He won't be joining me for another 2 months but I'm okay with that and just knowing we are done with paperwork/documents/approvals/RFEs/checklists/etc is SUCH a relief.

I thank you for sharing your kind words, your prayers, and your wisdom throughout the process. Thank you for being the much needed support system through this.

Remember, the interview itself is a formality. All your paperwork and everything has been already approved beforehand. Just be honest about everything they ask at the interview and answer sincerely. They are trained to pick up on red flags so even if there is any issues at the time, just be honest about it. A lot of times, the locals that work at the embassy have animosity against the applicants because your spouse will be getting to go the US while they don't. So try not to use a translator at the interview and just speak in English to the Americans there. My husband did this and his American interviewer still spoke to him in Hindi which was pretty funny.

Finally, trust in God's timing. He knows you best and he knows what is best for your life. He is the best of planners. My prayers are with all of you <3

Definitely not the last ones. There are still 3 couples here (including my wife and I) that haven't even had our I-130s approved yet. We're still not past step 1. You're definitely in the lucky bunch here, trust me.

AH88 thank you for saying what I also feel but found difficult to put into words.

My wife and stepdaughter were approved August 26th. Visa's in hand as of Friday, Sept 2nd. We celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary Saturday.

What a wonderful gift God has given our family.

Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Oh dear, I can't believe you aren't past step one yet. Hope things start moving along for you now. That is a very, very long time. So frustrating.

My husband had the wonderful (ahem) experience of the medical exam today. There were at least 3 or 4 other men in line with us, also waiting with paperwork that looked like ours and going to get the x-rays, blood test, and a very complete physical exam. My husband had to buy two vaccines, too, then they gave them to him. Don't know if he passed or not but I'm guessing he did. They said they'll call us in 10 days to let us know it's all clear and to come collect the papers. Then two weeks from today is his Visa interview. Yesterday I mentioned to a neighbor in passing that we might be leaving here in a few weeks - felt surreal to say it out loud to someone now that we're at this stage!

Hi, everyone!

My husband (the petitioner) filed the i-130 Dec 7 then he received the NOA1 hardcopy last week, Dec 18.

Our case was sent to Nebraska Service Center. Yes, NEBRASKA! :(

I've read a lot of delays from Nebraska. i'm getting worried

there were also lucky ones from nebraska service center who got their visa approved within 6 months from filing.

well, let's hope for the best. (L)

Best of luck to everyone of us! :)
