Well hello everyone..........Me and my husband got a chklst yesterday but we're not surprised. I sent the I-864 in without the PR because I didn't have it on hand and didn't want to wait any longer. Good thing is I got 2 copies last week when I went to visit him. Praying it doesn't take to much longer for them to look at it and send the interview date.

the fees that you payed at the nvc is the AOS and IV fee

there is no fee that you need to pay at the interview . bring the receipt of the above two at the interview

also after the interview you need to pay $165 for green card processing

its advised to pay that before you travel to the US so that the green card processing can start

thanks :)

Where would we pay this fee? Is it online or at the embassy?

just got the call from my wife :D

she was approved :D

Congratulations!!! So happy for you guys. Hoping the next few steps of our process moves quickly. Today is our 1 year anniversary and over the past year we've spent less than a month together so looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together

Same here - one week since case complete. I just called them about an hour ago and the girl explained to me that they send a message to the Consulate asking for available dates then NVC requests the date and sends it back to the Consulate to confirm. Something along those lines happens, at least from what I understood. My 4 year old son was saying in the background to the NVC woman, 'we're moving to New York!' :) She said we should get an email when it's confirmed.

usually 1-2 weeks you should get the interview letter

once you get that schedule a medical

in the mean while you should get your vaccination records ready and all original documents ( copies of what you submitted at the nvc )

make two copies of each , label them in a file organizer

get tax transcripts if you haven't yet

get passport pictures

that's all i can think of at this moment :)

So everything we submitted with our AOS/IV packets we'll have ot resubmit to the embassy? They only mention like 3-4 things on their website that people should bring to the interview. I submitted my tax transcripts to NVC already so I'm wondering if I should reorder them for the embassy stage.
