Just sitting around waiting now for some kind of contact from NVC. I called on Tuesday and they said 6 weeks for any response after sending in AOS & IV packets. SIGHHH

Hey Guys,

Just an update..

my daughter case status change to initial review today and and i also got an email stating that a notice was send to my husband but the post office returned it to USCIS.

He move, change his address but the person that answer him at the post office when he called to change his address didn't update it

I am worry about what the notice says......

Is it an approval or a request for additional evidence? I am in queue for interview appointment and then this .. Gosh

Looky i try that Link you send me and I was told that her case wasn't outside of normal processing time so i should wait and i got this today....

Hi Restrion, well its good news that you heard something about your daughters case. If your husband is sure that the addresses match (USCIS and home address he should have USCIS resend the letter. Yes the case has to be outside of processing times for them to do anything, but I guess now you've heard something so there's no need. I imagine for your daughter their main concern is to verify that she is your husbands daughter also or there is no custody issue. Hoping for more good news from you soon!

Hi Restrion, lets hope for the best! I can't really tell what 'Initial Review' means it may be standard for someone who is getting the Visa on the basis of being a family member. Like it said they may require some more background checks and things.

Let the letter come and then hopefully it'll give you a better idea of what's going on.

just sharing if there is anyone who have their interview scheduled in Canada

Due to the Canada post strike starting July 2nd , the US passport will be shipped through purolator

only 21 locations are participating and you get only 5 days to pickup your passports

no location in Saskatchewan . The closest one is like 6 hour drive

yes in 2011

but it will be very hard for my wife to travel to get her visa from her place

she will ask the CO if they can send it to the nearest purolator center in Saskatchewan ( which is not listed in the list of participating locations )

Yea it looks like the closest for my wife is in Toronto, 5 1/2 hours away (where she is right now because it's also the closest medical!) You can really tell that they care when they do things like this...

I just spoke to NVC just now and my case hasn't arrived yet. This is crazy. I think its being delayed on purpose. Other Centers sent theirs within 2 weeks. Its been 23 days now. Damn

finally case complete. I just called NVC to confirm. God is great. I thought I would receive a checklist.
