I have a question to ask.......I noticed that one the website it talks the AOS and IV packets. Are the packets the 864 and relationships info???

Yea, the AOS = Affidavit of Support which includes the I-864 and supporting financial documents. IV = Immigrant Visa, which is primarily beneficiary info

He's not in a area where he can. But we'll have to work it out some kind of way.

I'm hoping someone can tell me if this email I received from NVC is normal or if it means my wait is going to be extended even more! I just received this early this morning.

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 27-MAY-16. We are experiencing a high volume of incoming mail at this time. Please allow 30 days from the date we received your mail for the NVC to review your documents. We are diligently working to reduce our review time and appreciate your patience. The NVC will notify you after our review if there is additional information required or if we are able to schedule your case for an interview overseas.

No that's the basic email they send everybody. They tell us that so that we don't call them in the first 2 weeks of them receiving the petition. But I was approved on the 5th of May. They emailed me that it was sent out on the 9th of May. NVC received ours on the 11th of May. So I called on the 26th an they told me my case & IV numbers. So give them about 2 weeks then call for your numbers.

thank you for the quick response! We sent in our AOS & IV package and I heard it takes them about 30+ days to review, I was just hoping this didn't mean it wasn't going to take even longer!

Getting closer to the end of this process and I cannot wait!! lol.

I don't think it'll take that long at all. I'm on the other forum and ppl have received them interview dates already before NVC even got thier packets lol. So it's a lil different USCIS. With NVC you never know what's going to happen cause they move fast in this stage of the game.

Did you send via EP or regular mail? I submitted via EP and it took a fair bit less (19 days), though I'm not 100% sure if there's a firm correlation.

We sent it via EP. Hopefully we are as lucky and it takes less time than the 30 days as well!

Thank you Gryphon we did lol. But I have a question to ask......My husband changed addresses since we have done the petition in Dec. We submitted a change of address right before we was approved. Ok so my question is this........on the I-864 should we put the new address or leave the old one on the paperwork???
