Yes that is so true LookyWhatIFound lol. But Ive prepared myself for stage since the beginning of the year. So that when we got to this part it wouldn't be so hard or stressful. But I truly thank you for your guidance in this forum.

Oh no problem, I'm glad I could be of help. But you know it actually made it easier for me cause it helped keep my mind occupied. Well we haven't crossed the finish line yet but we can smell it though! :D

Sent in m IV & AOS form. USPS just told me they received it today. The IV fee still shows as processing. Anyone know what I should expect next and the timeline? I hope I did the paperwork correct, I'm biting my nails hoping I don't get a checklist.

Okay I have a question. Am from the march fillers for 2016. My case was assign to a number and I chose myself as the agent. Should I go ahead and pay the fee for $120. Or I should sit and wait for nvc to contact me then I will pay? Am confused.

Hi Yulisa, if the CEAC site allows you to pay the fee you can pay it. Basically as you go through the AOS, IV fee's and DS260 each of those will get activated for you once the previous step has been completed. So no you probably won't get an email.

Yes they can be confusing, the CEAC site helps cause the system only lets you do the things once they are ready. The IV fee will be $325, it will show up on the sites once its invoiced and the AOS fee shows as 'PAID'. After that you can do the DS260 and then send in the AOS and IV packages when you are ready.

For the DS260 NVC has an example from 2013 of what the questions are so you or your partner can gather all the data for that so its easier to fill out.

You will probably find better info in the forums for bringing family members in. This is specifically for Spouses, so most people that have gone through what you're looking for will be in the other area.

That being said, with you being the PETITIONER and your Mom being the BENEFICIARY, generally speaking, you provide the Financial Documents and any Petitioner-specific documents (https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Step_4_Collect_Financial_Documents.html) and the beneficiary provides the other Supporting Documents (https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Supporting_documents.html)

Good luck!

As Gryphon stated, this thread is about married couples. But yes at the NVC stage almost everything is based on your mother but you can fill the DS260 out for her since you registered as the agent. Just put your name where it asked who helped fill out the form, and get all her info.

The financial support stuff is from you. There is a Family thread as Gryphon said. Good luck.
