Sometimes it's hard to be on this thread, seeing everyone else getting approved while you're still waiting. It is really frustrating some days. But I'm really glad that I get to be a part of this group, that I know people are being approved, and that I can see everyone else getting really excited and really happy at times. It's very encouraging to know that there are other people out there in the same position as my wife and I.

Without this thread, I'd probably be losing my mind about now, wondering why it's taking so long to approve our case, especially since CSC seemed to be taking about 2 months to process cases a few months ago, and now it's taking longer than the other service centers.I'd be sat here questioning if I filled out some incorrect information, or if my lawyer messed up with the paperwork he did, and if we had somehow slipped through the crack between a couple desks and have been passed up or forgotten, or some other crazy thing. It's really encouraging to know that others have been waiting as long as we have, or even longer in some cases, and that we're not the only ones wondering when we're ever going to be approved.

I'm glad to be a part of this group. Thanks for being a small family and for being here supporting each other, it's really great to see, and I love that we're all hoping for the same thing and travelling down the same path together. Best of luck to everyone in whatever part of the process you're on. Speedy wishes to everyone. Good luck!

Oh :/ let's keep praying hard for other friends to get approved very very soon!

YESSSS, Fatigo I'm praying they get theirs tomorrow or no later than Tuesday of next week. I'm going to speak that into the atmosphere and claim it for them. Cause we don't want everyone left behind in this thread ????.

It's really good to know you're not alone on this journey :) don't worry. Very soon you and other friends will get approved! And you know NVC is faster. And it feels so good to know you're closer to the last step. These days will pass! And oneday you and your wife won't even remember these times :) you'll keep on having a normal life again. Just imagine that you see her at the airport, this will make you stronger. Our prayers are with you guys (: I hope we all get through this without any RFE and AP

Yeah Reggie, that's another reason VJ is so popular, it gives people some hope and company with others in the same situation. If any of us were waiting at home just sitting around alone for 5+ months not knowing anything of what's going on we'd go crazy. The USCIS guys wouldn't tell you anything.

So when you first came on I thought your case would be one of those DCF type cases, which would get NOA2 in a month. Aren't you and your wife both living abroad?

NOA1 - 12/21/15

NOA2 - 04/18/16

NVC Receive - 04/29/16

NVC Welcome - 05/13/16

DS-261 - 05/14/16

AOS, IV PAID - 05/27/16

DS260 done - 06/10/16

Case Transferred to US Embassy in Riga Latvia at the end of October.

If you really want it, you'll find a way!

:D Open another thread. Why not just keep using this thread to make whatever noise we need to make like we are doing now. There are those NVC filer threads which are probably useful for people to find out the timing of things and stuff! I haven't really thought about that stage too much so I think I will mostly be sort of a newbie to the process myself! :D

Yes, my wife and I are both living here in Ireland with my in-laws. I thought we'd get approved quickly too, and yet...

Oh well, I guess we'll just have to wait some more. If this goes on until the 5 month mark, I'll call up USCIS and even NVC and see if they heard anything about our case.

I am still waiting for approval but actually my turn should be Jan filer. My case was received at USCIS by Jan 4.

Good luck to Reggie, sophjosh and other Dec filers following this thread but have not been approved.

Oh Daylight you're just a week or so away from getting approved, and bring all the other NOA2 stragglers with you to the party! :D

What was your NOA1 date?

Also you had to be living in Ireland for a while when you filed the petition. Maybe that's why you didn't get the DCF?

I had been living here in Ireland since August when my wife and I got married. My NOA1 date is December 21. I came back home to America to drop off forms at my lawyer's office and they mailed our stuff out on the 9th. We didn't get the NOA1 until the 21st though, so we're coming up on the 5 month mark in about 2 weeks here...

I didn't quite understand. I mean for doing DCF you have to be almost considered like an Ireland resident. I mean it would't work like that if you just left to get married in Ireland 3 or 4 months later. In that case you might have been consifdered a US resident who just went back to Ireland for a couple months.

Oops I skipped the part where you said you came back home to drop the forms off. Yes the files would have had to be sent from Ireland and you had the home in the US. Yeah doesn't sound like you would have met DCF requirements. Oh well hopefully you'll get approved soon.
