So NVC has finally received our case. 33 days after NOA2. That is one hell of a trip from CSC to NVC

Well did you know snails are very slow creatures? I bet they received it a while ago but it was probably sitting in a closet or something somewhere and they have to get all the info they need to register your case and all. Did they get a case and IIN number for you yet?

Well they say that it just arrived by mail today. Told me it will take upto 42 days to assign a case number. Although i think looking at others in VJ being assigned case numbers around 10-14 days should be the average time.

42 days for a case number is just their standard answer. Just like they say it's six months to approve an I-130. If they said 10 days then you can bet that on day 11 people would be calling non-stop demanding their case numbers so to manage people's expectations they give massively over-exaggerated dates to cut down on the number of phone calls.

Yes, thanks for that Looky although there seems to be confusion whether it's just for K-1 or for CR-1 also. I hope it is for CR-1 because I am NOT a morning person and those 12 noon appointments that you can choose online sound perfect to me. NVC will probably schedule me an 8 am appointment, knowing my luck.

I'm so ready for this approval to come. But I don't understand why we haven't got it yet ?. Our date was Dec 15th and I know we have other week for it to be completely 5months but Jesus!!!!! Is it really gone be the full 5months before we get the approval. I'm so darn restless over this petition process. Praying for our approval soon ????.

OH MY GOODNESS ARE YOU SERIOUS???? I really hope that's not true cause I can't wait another month for that ?. My patience can't last another month for the I -129f date.

When I first sent my I-29f in I forgot a signature on there. So they sent it back to me to sign then I sent it back. That's the only RFE we've gotten.

Each case is different from others. Yes, there are January filers approved (non-Filipino) but there are still quite a number of November filers have not been approved.

It is all about how complex a case is and how fast the person works on that case does his/her job. The only thing we can do in this game is being patience and pray the person works on your case can make it faster.
