Hi all,

As an update, we received our welcome letter from NVC today via email, dated 29/4/16, it has case and invoice number so we can begin collecting all we need and paying fees. Our NOA2 was dated 4/4/16.

I guess how long the next part takes depends on how quick we are paying bills and submitting paperwork!

Progress is being made though, hang in there guys, good luck to all!

There's a couple of things wrong on the welcome letter, the first letter of my wife's surname is wrong and the first letter of the County on my address is wrong, do you think this needs to be rectified with them? I guess an email isn't going to hurt.

I wanna ask you what does your case status says exactly?

does it say "case transferred to NVC?

Mine says "case approved " that's all.

Hi Nadhir, you will get a Notice Of Action (NOA)2 in the snail mail. It will say, 'We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of state National Visa Center (NVC)

I can't tell you what the case status thing says cause for me it has never changed, but its only a nice to have sort of feature. The actual physical letter is what is important.

I think Its very important to get your wife's surname corrected, especially if she is the beneficiary ( the one doing the interview and getting the Visa), that can effect everything from Name Checks they do to the name that shows on the visa itself.

I would also make sure the address is correct, you are probably going to use it on the online forms as the address she will live at in the US.

Hopefully none of these were incorrect on your NOA2 from USCIS?

I bet that your "case approved" is because someone forgot to click a button to change it to "transferred" like mine. The system seems so buggy. Like I said, it took a day for me to get a text. I never got an email either, even though email alerts are on.

I'm the beneficiary, from the UK, I'll email them and explain, the address is correct apart from the first letter of the county, I've put 'Cambs' for Cambridgeshire, they've put 'Lambs' ? Everything else is correct, postcode etc so any mail would definitely find me.

Her name is correct on NOA2 so it's their mistake for sure, like I said I'll email.

Yes that should be fine. I doubt they actually mail you anything more these days. Also since you are the beneficiary you will be able to put all your info in the online forms and probably even your wife's info.

I believe JFH is the person you want to talk to about that city.

called NVC this morning about the case number
a rep rather than telling us to call after 5 weeks said call on Friday you will get the case number
will call on Friday now

Called again this morning to see if they case number had been assigned...nothing new. I got my NOA2 of April 5 and the NVC received the case on April 18 and still nothing. This is frustrating. Can it go any faster,

So NVC has finally received our case. 33 days after NOA2. That is one hell of a trip from CSC to NVC
