Hey, I've been watching this thread for a while but not posted, hoping to give everybody a glimmer of hope today that progress is being made! So, our 130 was sent Dec 2nd 2015, NOA1 is dated 7th Dec 15 (pd right??). It was sent to Nebraska service centre and was approved yesterday (4/4/16), after 119 days, no RFE. Things are moving forward!

Now am I right in saying we wait for it to be sent to NVC and wait to hear from them? If it's longer than a few weeks start chasing?

Dig in guys, hopefully not much longer for those still waiting ?

Congrats Froridas2016, good hope for everybody filing at Nebraska including me :)

Wish you have a pleasant journey ahead, from what people experience it is much easier than the first stage with USCIS.

I just looked up what the priority date actually means in reference to the I -130. It doesn't have anything to do with if your a USC or LPR or not. On USCIS it says:

"For family-sponsored immigrants, the priority date is the date that the Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, or in certain instances the Form I-360, Petition for Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant, is properly filed with USCIS". Just I lil informative information for those who really what to know the date stand for in this whole process. Good luck still to everyone ??✌. Lol

Availability of Immigrant Visas

The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) sets the number of immigrant visas that may be issued to foreign nationals seeking to become lawful permanent residents (get a Green Card) each year.

Immigrant visas for “immediate relatives” of U.S. citizens are unlimited, so they are always available. Immediate relatives include:

  • The spouses of U.S. citizens,
  • The children (unmarried and under 21 years of age) of U.S. citizens,
  • The parents of U.S. citizens at least 21 years old, and
  • Widows or widowers of U.S. citizens if the U.S. citizen filed a petition before his or her death or if the widow(er) files a petition within 2 years of the citizen’s death.

Immigrant visas for the family-sponsored and employment-based immigrant preference categories are numerically limited, so they are not always immediately available. For more information, please see the Green Card Eligibility page.

You are right about how and which priority date is given, but for getting the Visa it makes lot of difference whether you are USC or LPR.

Hey guyz, howz everyone holding up......hope good...anyways want to ask a quick question.... Abt sending out my RFE back to CSC..we have our Chat logs with our pet names,do we have to change it to our real names before printing out....yeah the RFE came on Monday.......

sophjosh895: so the RFE is about to prove you guys have frequent communication with each other ? If that is the case, changing the name is not a good idea, play as it is and find a way to prove the nick names you guys are using belong to you.

What the chat program are you using?
