Easy for me to say that it's not something I'd stress about. I'm sorry for saying that! We stress about each and every detail of this process, don't we?!

If you got ants in your house get rid of them before they turn your house into an anthill! :D

I read here that somebody had this issue went to USCIS and they said its not in their jurisdiction to fix it cause they already approved it.

Hey everybody we've already found 2 NOA2s that didn't have the beneficiary's Alien Number on it!!!

Deedah and RJS7 don't have Alien Numbers in their NOA2 Beneficiary slot.

Is that how its suppose to be or is USCIS screwing it up?

So if people with NOA2s can respond yes or no to the question,

Does your beneficiary have an Alien Number assigned on your NOA2?

We can figure out what's going on???

Thanks,

Looky

Hi, Looky! Thank you so much for your concern. So i've asked some friends on a facebook group, their NOA2s also have no A# under the beneficiary box. And some said that you will find the beneficiary's A# on his/her visa.

Oh ok Deedah, I guess the process is changing. It probably makes sense because the A# is not needed until the Visa is approved. I had a K-1 approved in the past for my now wife. She had an A# on the NOA2. But we didn't follow up on the visa so that A# was basically abandoned. So to avoid using up the numbers in instances like that they probably wait till after the interview, I guess.

No alien number on my NOA2 and the space is blank on my NOA1.

Separately, when do NVC send out the welcome letter? I've yet to receive mine and also have gotten no email (I gave my email address when I rang earlier this month).

was wondering about the welcome letter too? Presume we can go ahead though without waiting for it? Once we have our case and invoice numbers?

I suppose you could except they say you'll have to wait for a week or so after your case was assiigned for the

DS-261 online form to be available, and same for the AOS fee. The IV fee is unlocked after they've approved your DS-261.

I'll just attach this link cause I can imagine people wanting to refer to it.

Hey, when our i130 going to be approved? I'm really quirious....it's almost two month, is boring to wait...

Don't know mkate. For IR1/CR1 @ CSC, they say I-130's are being processed with NOA1 dates of December 5.

If you're lucky you'll get your NOA2 by the end of the month. But remember you are F2A so your case may be in a different queue, and that December 5 date doesn't apply to you.

But then again its all just an estimate. If you were to ask USCIS they would ask you to call back at the end of June. Cause they would say wait the average of 5 months + 1 extra month and subtract the 2 months you've been waiting.

So the best estimate is it could be up to: 5 + 1 - 2 = 4. Hopefully I did my math right?

So I would say 1 to 4 months from now you'll get your NOA2. :D

Hey, thanks for suggestions , but I though uscis goes to same process for citizen and green card holder, when they approved after that nvc hold by the prarity date,( I'm no sure, is my thinking) I talked with my friends who applay the F2A through i130, his I 130 take a 50 days for approve, and he got a visa within 6 month so, and my case the uscis did not change the status also they just put my case in the drower, ###### true, ??

I don't know maybe they go through the same queue. But when I say 5 months the official USCIS customer service does not care what service center you are at. They won't tell you anything about the status of your case until 6 months is over.

Yes your case is sitting somewhere, they'll get to it when the other cases on top of yours are processed.

But yeah the difference in time comes after NOA2. For IR1 / CR1 there are no visa quotas. F2A has visa quotas , I think, and priority date cutoffs on Visa availability.

Yep, my case is in the csc, and once more question for you, we seen the date of process of citizen tipe like IR1/CR1 on imeegration but I never seen which date is processing on F2A on imeegration , and when we check throw WAC number, we don't have any case status, what is that? And they can do this?

You mean the processing times. Well probably they just go with the visa types that are most popular, because to list all the F types and things would take to much space and complicate things. So I guess all I-130 processing just falls under IR1/CR1.

Case status updates are meaningless, and they just prompt more people calling them so they got rid of them on purpose, I bet. There's 3 states, case received, RFE, and case complete. At least 3 months between RECEIVED and RFE, if it happens. Then 1 month to Case Complete.

What really do you want to know between that time? Whatever it is they don't think you need to know.

Hi, dub42! I didn't wait for the NVC welcome letter. Once i got the case number and IIN, i logged in to ceac.state.gov

DS-261 was already available so i filled out the form and completed within 10minutes.

a few hours after the DS-261 is completed, the AOS bill was invoiced then my husband aid for it ($120).

Currently, the status of my AOS bill is "IN PROCESS". we still have to wait for 2-3 business days for the status to be "PAID".

I called NVC again and a nice lady named Nora was kind enough to review my DS- 261 and told me that my IV bill will be unlocked after a few days.

Hope everything goes smooth for you all. :)

question for you guys,

my wife (USC) has lived in Ireland since 2012 we me. She has not filed US taxes since and has not been working here in ireland. I am the sole source of income of our family as my wife looks after our daughter. I take it when we go to do the AOS this will be a problem? What should we do? Ask her mother in the US to be sign the AOS and submit her tax returns? Really would like some advice on this as we are quite worried about it.
