Oh you've been there for 7 years! I can understand that, never been to Israel. But my wife, before she was my wife used to stay in Cyprus. It was way too hot and way to dry and I really didn't like it all that much there aside from the fact that she was there.

I was just looking at the Israel embassy info. I was curious cause if it had Direct Consular Filing, you would have definitely qualified for it and possibly cut the wait time in half. But there wasn't answer to it so I imagine they don't have it. :(

Hello there,

I just sent my form I-130 and docs required for my husband's visa. I did all the paperwork myself(feeling like a bad ### lawyer)

I hope to find people out there are in the same situation and get approvals ASAP (L)

Please share our stories so things and waiting time would get easier :joy:

Blanche, I didn't fully read the part where you asked if the NOA1 is really needed, no but I still keep it cause you never know in the future. Like if you file for something else later they ask you about previous filings, so the NOA1 gives you a record, if you can find it when you need it! <_< But I don't know what that start all over after 180 days was, that's scary! Hopefully you got that fixed?

I got my text message already, they've really just had 2 full days of work to get it processed at the lockbox, wow! It went to TSC, didn't expect that. Now for the 7 to 10 day snail watch! :clock:

oh you got a text message? nice! I called them today to give them my parents address in new york and that was fine. then i talked to my dad, who is in florida now. they live 1/2 the year in florida, 1/2 the year in new york. so he says well i don't know if they will forward a government letter like that to us in florida while we're here so you should give them our florida address instead. pooey! so i call back and USCIS tells me you can't make any adjustments to address changes until 30 days later. argh. so ... in my attempt to fix the issue quickly, i've created a new one. silly of me but how was i to know... i didn't have my parents florida address in front of me when the agent suggested that's the address i use so i gave him the ny one. grrr. so we'll see. if it gets returned again or my parents don't get it by jan 22nd then i will call again. meanwhile let's hope the i-130 gets processed aside from this address issue.

yeah the israeli consulate won't take our case. no emergency reason for it. you can't directly file. our nearest service office is athens, greece, from what i've read. and we can't file there. so it had to be mailed to chicago. now it's in california i hope. got to be patient (i tell myself) as badly as i want to get back to new york.

Hi Raj, I'm so glad to get thru this journey with people out there. All I know is USCIS received and signed my package. Hopefully, I get a response via text message or email by the end of this week. Fingers crossed!

Great news you have already received your NOA1! Congrats (L)

I've been checking my bank account to know if they have cashed out the check. Nothing yet :crying:

Hi Sky, congrats on your package making it to the lockbox, you are officially in the game! I suspect you'll see the email and text message then you'll see the pending charge in your bank account the day after that. Well at least thats how it worked for me. But you are rubbing up against Christmas eve and day so you may see the text by Friday, if Santa brings you some luck! Or urr if you've been bad this year it may take till Monday!

Hi RSDP, welcome to the merry go round, where we also play musical chairs, pin the tail on USCIS and all the most confusing games to fill your hearts desire :girlwerewolf2xn:

Hope whatever health issue you have gets better soon.

The lockbox processing doesn't seem to take too long if everything is mostly in good order, so I imagine you too will soon jump into our NOA1 boat!

Hi DeeDah, well welcome and congratulations you are ahead of most of us here cause nobody else, so far has the NOA1 hard copy. Well VisaJourney says NSC is processing NOA1 dates of July 14 right now, so that would mean December NSC filers would get filed 5 months from now. I may be wrong but I think these days the lockbox tries to send you to the center with the least backlog. So its sort of a moving scale.

Yes, hope for the best, and good luck! :)
