Hi guys!

i finally made the big move a week ago on my K1 visa, we said we would have a week just cuddling and enjoying eachothers company again then get on with all of the paperwork after so here we are!

Im currently getting my head around all of the stuff for my SSN and marriage licence and thought id have a better look into the AOS and i have a question;

I had my medical in London and they said that i was missing one vaccination needed for my AOS, i then had this missing jab done at my GP office a few weeks after and got them to reprint my vaccination record which i thought would be okay for my AOS paperwork. I'm now really confused on what to do about the I-636 form.

i don't know which parts to fill in and if i have to still get a civil surgeon to fill it in for me?

Any help is greatly appreciated

If you didn't take care of your shots before your Knightsbridge appointment so they could be signed off at the visa medical, then you will need to be signed off on an I-693 by a civil surgeon. You can't send something from your GP to USCIS. They want a sign off on the DS-3025 by the Panel Physician (visa medical) or on an I-693 by a Civil Surgeon.

Read the instructions for the I-693 and they will tell you what parts to have filled out. You do not need another exam, so keep calling civil surgeons until you find one who won't insist on another complete exam. He will copy all your shot records onto the I-693.

There's a thread where people post the details of civil surgeons that will transcribe the vaccinations for little cost: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/231026-civil-surgeons-who-dont-rip-you-off/page-1

Brilliant, thank you so much, I'm so annoyed though at Knightsbridge.. They never told me any of this, they told me to get my missing ones done at the gp and reprint my records.. So annoying!

One more thing, any idea of cost?

Knightsbridge doesn't understand AOS. They tell people that all the time. They don't realize the extra cost you will have to pay a civil surgeon to fill out the required form. The costs could be from $25 to the hundreds depending on if you can find one who will do it without doing a full exam. Some people call dozens with no luck. Ask the price of each place you call before you make an appointment. Try to find $50 or less.
