The processing is pretty much the same as all at POE. Big thing with choosing a POE is processing through one that isn't too busy.

None of the POE's are that strict. If you made it this far to have a visa, then entering is not a problem as long as you follow the common sense rules and laws and extend curtesy to your IO. You only have to walk up hand your package to the IO and answer any questions they have. That's it. Sometimes it maybe busy and they need extra time vetting a immigrant and that is usually in another area and in a room. But that's rare.

Don't worry. This is not a big thing. Take a deep breath.

All a few hours between flights. Both are very big airports so beside clearing immigration and customs you will most likely have a long walk to your next gate.

My wife traveled through LAX and funny thing is the IO she had was fairly new to the job and got flustered and just stamped her passport and took her packet and let her go. She said he was grumbling but nevertheless, she was happy to be on US Soil.

Good luck with your trip and safe travels and welcome to These United States.

I booked her flights so that she had plenty of time in LAX before the next flight. I used a four hour layover and she used 3.5 hours passing through IO and getting to the next gate. It sometimes can be a hike to other gates. Be sure to check the terminal maps before your depart so you have a little idea where you are going. Ask anyone in uniform if you are confused, they will help you.

I can't comment about all POEs, but our experience in Atlanta was excellent. At this point in the process the IO is not there to find a reason to deny entry.

My wife just returned from the Philippines using her EAD/ Advance Parole Card. The Immigration Officer was the same one who handled her entry earlier in the year with the K-1. He was very polite and was in a great mood. He asked if she remembered him from her first entry, asked about the wedding and how she was liking the US. He also noticed her green card had been issued (she was out of the country when it arrived) and told her she could use the Permanent Resident line going forward. This was in Atlanta. It was an outstanding experience both times.

Most are great. You are more apt to have issues with customs if you bring things you shouldn't. Many people get in trouble for bringing food stuffs on the banned list.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

From what you've said and what everybody else said on this post, i think i shouldn't worry about my POE. I've read one post way back 2008 that she was denied entry although it was the only post that i can find regarding the topic and im not even sure if it was true coz the OP was only telling a story about a friend. I must admit im just overthinking things ? Thank you for the input ?

Yeah its one thing my fiance is telling me not to bring any food stuff just to be safe
