NVC Expedite for CR-1

Dear VisaJourney Community,

What should I expect from the NVC to reply to my expedite request? Will they only respond when it gets approved/denied or they will let you know that they have forwarded the request to the relevant embassy?

I want to note that NVC received my case from USCIS but have not yet assigned a case number - so I guess they will have to figure out the exact embassy (although it was mentioned in the expedite request email).

Hi!

They will expedite the case If the embassy accept to do it and only happens in very rare and selected cases. I tried to do it but the embassy refused it because was not a "life or dead" situation.

I submitted an expedite request To nvc before The case number was assigned. They approved The expedite one week later vía email. The email said The case was accepted To be expidited And The Will send The case over To The embassy. The embassy Will contact me with My next steps.

MsMateo, do you remember if you got any email after you sent your expedite request saying that the NVC has forwarded your request to the embassy? Or you just got the approval email?

Yes they did send an email before The approval saying The request was forwarded To The embassy.

Could you also tell me (sorry for asking this much) that how soon they sent that email to you after you asked for the expedite?

And how soon you requested after they have received your case?
