Possible lost case

Anybody else ever had there case lost before? We filed waiver i601a on April 2015 and still don't have a decision. The processing time on the uscis website updated on Dec 15 says it is currently taking 3 monthes for them to review cases. It has been 8 months since we submitted ours! We call the 1800 but all they can tell me is that the case is still pending. Maybe im being paranoid, but im suspicious that someone has droped the ball with our case. Please let me know if you submitted around this time and are also still waiting, so i can sleep at night!

We had a similar issue at NVC. Basically our case was stuck at supervisor review for about four months before we involved our Senator and we got case complete. The US petitioner should contact their Senator straight away and request their help.

My husband and I mailed out i601a waiver packet on March 7, 2015 and got the approval results back in early July 2015, (paperwork said decision for approval was on June 30) so it was more like 4 months than 3 months. But it took all the way from July to December of this year to get our consulate interview appointment, so you might not be paranoid sometimes they just take longer than others.

Mallafri76 that's a great idea. What is the best way i could go about involving our senator? What should i specificly request he do?

when you talk to uscis Tier 2 human (not the first person that answers the phone)

ask such pointed questions as:

1. has my case made it to an adjudicator's desk yet, or no?

2. is my case still in a queue? how many people before mine?

3. is that adjudicator out on vacation? When will he/she return ?

as to engaging the Immigration Liason staffer with a member of Congress' office - that's certainly do-able... you are asking 'HOW TO DO IT?' there's some other stuff posted here - please try the advanced search tool when logged in from a PC. [not the google search thingie]

Just go to your senator's website, there is usually a link for immigration services, fill our a release form, and let them inquire on your behalf.

Just like mrskvelasco said. Our Senator had a link on his website for residents to request assistance. We filled out a release form from his website and emailed it along with our request for the Senator's help. They contacted NVC a couple of days later and 42 days after that, we got cc. So at least for us, Senator help definitely helped, hope it does for you too.
