Hi my interview date is scheduled in January I need to book my medical I need some help.

how much do I need to pay for the actual medical fees?

(I know I have to pay extra for other vaccine I haven't done)

I don't have any immunisation record or have never done any here in the UK so is it okay if I just go to my medical and they do it there for me?

Will it cause me any trouble?

I know I have to take my police certificate and interview

letter. What else please just help.

Btw I haven't received interview letter yet my husband only got an email with the interview date from the NVC

Thanks for your help.

Have you read the instructions on the embassy website?

http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/medical_examination.html

and

http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/ivfaqs_medical.html

Costs, how to book and what to bring to the medical are listed here: http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Medical/LND%20-%20London

If you don't have a medical record, that's fine, but it's worth asking your GP anyway - they may have them on record.

Looks like it is going to cost you £362 for the medical and three shots.

Information, price list, and questionnaire to fill out http://photos.state.gov/libraries/unitedkingdom/164203/cons-visa/iv018a_medical.pdf

Take a copy of the email if you don't get a letter. They actually just want to confirm your LND case number and aren't super strict about it. They won't send you away.

Thanks for your help.

I forgot our LND number letters when we went to the medical, but Knightsbridge let me scan them at home and e-mail them copies after the medical exam. They won't approve your medical until they see the letters, but as others have indicated, they are flexible about how/when they receive them.

May I ask how you were able to obtain an interview date prior to completing your medical? My fiancé will be in London only a short time and we are trying to schedule the medical and the interview the same week but we can't figure out who to contact. We have sent an email to the consulate but have not received a reply and we can't find any contact phone numbers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The OP is getting a spouse visa. Differences--

IR1/CR1 processed at NVC-

The NVC gives out your interview date.

There is no readiness form to send. "Case complete" means you are ready.

You send a lot of personal documents to NVC to review.

You pick a medical date so it's done before the interview. If the results haven't made it to the embassy before your interview, it delays visa approval until they get there.

K1 or IR1/CR1 that is not processing at NVC (called DCF). Petitioner lives in the UK if doing DCF.

London gives out your interview date.

You submit a readiness form.

You take all your personal documents to the interview to be reviewed there.

You won't get an interview until the medical results have reached the embassy.

You never call London. They don't have a helpline or person to speak to about K1 cases.

Your instructions provided by London are online. They send you the link in your letter I guess you didn't wait for. Read them here http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/fiance_instructions.html Use a computer. The mobile version isn't as good.

The London K1 guide pinned at the top of this UK Forum gives you info on how you get an interview. The fourth post http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide-do-not-post-questions-in-thread/?p=6741238 Ignore the "tip" at the bottom because DOS quit giving out info almost two years ago. Ignore anything in that whole thread that says call DOS.

I have booked my medical just 6 days before my interview coz the lady said on the phone that they need five days to get the result to the embassy. Thank you all so much and thanks Nich Nick for the extra information! I have got an email from them confirming the date of my medical appointment and it has a questionnaire which I have to fill out to take with me.

I am sorry I am replying late you can't book or choose interview date for yourself but you can choose the medical date just close to your interview date like I did 6 days before my interview. My visa is CR1 which is a spouse visa and it's different from yours. Sorry :(
