Hi All,

I was hoping someone would be able to help answer the below question:

I have submitted my DS-260 Form and have submitted all necessary civil documents. Does anyone know if there is anyway to find out if your application has started to be reviewed asides from contacting the NVC directly? I submitted Form DS-260 on December 11th. I have an attorney representing me and they submitted all my civil documents via post to the NVC on December 11th. Would I, or the attorney have received an email when the NVC receives my documents and started reviewing?

Thanks in advance.

From my experience, I did receive an email stating that the documents were received with a received date (which is also called the "scan date"). This email will only be sent if they have your email address on file. To date, I never received anything in regular mail from the NVC.

You can check the status of your case on the link below, once the AOS fee changes from Paid to N/A it normally means your case is completed.

The only option to check on the case besides the site above to my knowledge is to call the NVC and talk to an agent. They don't tend to have any information, but if you elect to do so, you can request supervisor review if your case is not handled 30 days after the scan date. There are a number of people that have negative reviews on supervisor review, but myself and some others recently had a positive experience, my case was approved within a week after supervisor review.

Thanks for the info Martin,

My AOS is already set to N/A due to the fact my petition is Employment based. Civil Documents is also set to N/A which i guess means i need to see the IV Fee move from Completed to N/A before i can deem my case as being complete.
