I have wanted to do vawa for over 6 years and now want to follow it through. I have documents i-360, i-765 and i-912 fee waiver. I have written about how my husband and I fell in love and married and the abuse. My questions are do I need any other documents before I send these? I believe I send them altogether to USCIS, Vermont Service Center, 75 Lower Welden, St Albans, VT 05479-0001 is this correct? Is there anything else I should do or know?

Mimominkov last Tuesday I received information in one of my VAWA cases that" the name was updated", and two days later USCIS approved the AOS. The person filed VAWA in 2011 and had the AOS interview almost 17 months ago and the GC was approved last Thursday.

But VAWA usually takes 4/5months to be adjudicated, your case is taking a long time, set up an appointment with infopass to find out about your case. Their website is not reliable and USCIS failed many times to mail the person about the VAWA decision and even regarding the AOS interview.

Thank you Sandranj so much for your help reply and advice. I already have a appointment with the local USCIS office in Baltimore. But I'm still reviving teetering messages and he said that he will do what ever he can to deport me and he said that he send something to the USCIS that said it was all a fraud marriage and now idk what to do he is going to jail on the 15 probably because off violation off a restraining order and he is trying again to harm me what should I do?

Hi everyone.

I received a notice of RFE via text message this morning for my VAWA case that was filed on March 2016. I am quite anxious to see what they are requesting but I noticed that my attorney did not file the psychological evaluation or the updated background check (the one they submitted was over a year old). I remember reading somewhere that the criminal backgroudn check should not be any older than 6 months so I am hoping that is what they want us to send. I am not sure why my attorney decided not to send the psych evaluation and I am scared that we did not provide enough evidence of mental suffering.

Does anyone have any experience with RFEs? Is my case a 50/50 chance of getting approved still?

Blessings to everyone.

My journey is finally coming to an end and a new one begins. Yesterday I received notification that my I-485 was approved and card is in production. I still cant believe it, eagerly waiting for the mail

No amount of gratitude is enough to tell Sandra how grateful I am. She selflessly gives her personal time and patience to answer our questions.

Sandra

You are one of a kind. God will bless you over and over, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Kind Regards

Coolbeans

Sarah when did you divorce? You have a two year period after the divorce to file for VAWA .

If you do not have a strong case, just submit form I-360, if your VAWA is denied you will be removed from the U.S But if you want to work then file forms I-485,G325A,I-864W,I-131(optional), I-765,I-912 and I-693 (medical form you can submit later on if you can't afford to see a doctor.) Keep in mind if you submit form I-485 and your VAWA is denied you will be removed from the U.S.

I just went to my 485 interview today!!! Sorry for not saying it before but i forgot my password here...
And it was approved on the spot! I already checked the uscis case status and it says the card is being produced!!!

Big thanks to Sandranj for all her support. I tried my best not to overload her with my questions and if you have questions, I would look for this forum first. Most of my questions were answered by her before!

The only thing is the immigration officer said that I can only filled for citizenship in 5 years, instead of 3 like we say it here. Did it change?
