coobeans in your case there is a fee to submit form I-131, but if you cannot pay you can file form I-912.

USCIS will discontinue the online filing on Aug 30,2016

RacheM considering that you got your GC on January 11,2013 then the earliest accepted filing day is Aug 3,2016. It's up to you to hire an attorney or not, but I think is not necessary. It's very simple the whole process.

You are eligible for Naturalization under Section 319(a). Please read the form N400 instruction as well. Then in the form N400 Part 1,choose option "E" and write down "Section 319(a). I obtained lawful permanent residence by reason of an approved Form 1-360",

sandra please help me, i have been denied i-360. but i didn't file it with i-485 at the same. meaning, i-485 was filed before when i was married, but things didn't work better, that's why i filed i-360. so my question is if my current EAD will be VOIDED or cancelled. because i am planning to refile the i-360, but i don't know if my EAD and i-485 will be cancelled. please help

I am sorry to hear about that. Do you know why you were denied? Since you did not file with i485, I believe you can file another i360 but the denial reason has to be addressed when refilling . Also, what is the status of the i130 and I485 you filed before? I think if those are still pending, your EAD should still be valid. Ms Sandra will be able to answer you better tho.

yes, my i-130 and i-485 have been pending. none of these haven't been denied. i filed i-360 while they have been pending.

the reason i was denied was '' i didn't prove that me and my wife lived together ". despite showing them lease agreements with our names together, and bills, they still denied me. and my i-130 and i-485 have been pending. none of these haven't been denied. i filed i-360 while they have been pending

Hi Sandra,

I have green card based on vawa since june 2014.I am suppose to apply for citizenship March 2017 since the abuser was US citizen.i heard if i get married i will not be able to apply in the 3 years period and i have to wait for 5 years. Is that true?

Also if applied while I do not have any source of income will this deny my citizenship?

Thanks in advance.

Justice seeker you still can apply for naturalization in 3 years if you get married after AOS approval.

YOU didn't ask my opinion but please don't get married to someone if you are not dating AT LEAST two years.

It takes time to know someone. Almost all short courtships end in divorce or abuse. When dating people show the best side of them but time can unveil someone's true colors.
