malenonimmigrant If you describe to USCIS how you described here believe me you won't have your case approved at all. What you described here I see as "an unpleasant marriage, not abuse". Abuse is a pattern of humiliation, isolation, degradation, control, threats.

I had hundreds of male cases approved, but so far I not seeing abuse in your case considering what you are saying.

What is your diagnosis? what kind the tests you psychologist performed to diagnose you?

So the fact that my wife has threatened that if I don't meet her demands for buying her pills, else she will not show up to my marriage interview doesn't constitute as abuse, I don't know what else you are requesting. The fact that she slit her wrists so as to coax me and manipulate me into meeting her demands - you don't consider that as an abuse? Wow! The fact that my wife has almost depleted me of my finances so as to support her drug addiction, and threatened that if I don't pay, then she won't show up to my interview doesn't constitute abuse? The fact that my wife belittled me while having sex and even suggested of wanting me to perform a sexual act (penetrate me anally with a strap on) because I deserved to be humiliated since I could not get it up, doesn't constitute abuse to you? Another wow!

Tests performed by psychologist who has counseled other VAWA petitions before:

Beck Depression Inventory, BDI, English Version

Beck Anxiety Inventory, BAI, English Version

Impact of Event Scale-Revised, IES-R, English Version

10/1/2011 - OPT to H1b

11/5/2015 - Got married to wife (USC)

03/7/2016 - AOS package receipt

04/6/2016 - Biometrics completed

07/6/2016 - EAD card received

9/17/2016 - Notice of interview at USCIS San Francisco office received

10/20/2016 - Date of AOS interview CR1 at USCIS San Francisco office

10/26/2016 - Conditional Green Card Received

CARD PRODUCTION

Hello VJ members

I have come to post about my excitement today about my journey which I started in Late December 2014 with filing VAWA. If it wasn’t SANDRA I don’t know where I would be by now because I didn’t know anything and because of the abuse suffered with my children I was feeling myself I was almost all over the place but SANDRA helped me from scratch at NO COST! I didn’t know that such people exist in today’s world. I pray that you live many more years to come to help generations of people.

I filed VAWA in Late December 2014

Renewed EAD in February 2015

RFE in May 2015

VAWA Approved November 2015

GC application Transferred to NBC in January 2016

GC transferred to Local Office in April 2016

Interview June 1, 2016

The officer was nice. I pulled in early enough about 45 minutes ahead of my interview and I handed in my Notice. He called me after about 1 hour and half. The interview was pretty easy basically we passed through my form to confirm a few things and lastly Yes/No questions.

He said he is going to pass through my file and make the decision that I should expect his decision between 1 – 3 months but immediately after pulling out of the parking lot messages came that “interview done but your file must be Reviewed”. After 2 hours, I got another set of messages “Card ordered for production” my Goodness I could not believe it. Everything was messy, it needed someone like Sandra with experience to put everything right. I remember before filing, one Attorney from a very reputable organization told me you have got no chance and that he will not help me. He added steam in the abuse suffered not until Sandra instilled Faith in me and I followed her instructions which has led me to the “promised land”. I don’t know how best I can express my happiness and how best I can thank Sandra, Please thank you soooooooooooo much, May God bless you abundantly with everything you need.

Today I had 2 Vawa cases and 2 AOS approved, what a good day.

Folks abuse is a pattern of behavior designed to control, degrade, isolate, intimidate, humiliate etc.

When describing the abuse you must tell the abuse in DETAILS, mentioning when the abuse happened ( time, month and year). Mention If you told someone about the abuse, if you didn't tell your family or friends explain why not. If you were battered and didn't call the police explain why not. Describe how you were before and after the abuse. If you were just mentally abused you must provide a psychological evaluation drafted by a PSYCHOLOGIST, not by a social worker or counselor. You should attend at least 5/7 therapy sessions. A good evaluation should have 6/10 pages, your affidavit should have 9/13 pages.

To prove bonafide marriage you should describe the COURTSHIP in details, describe when you met her/his family, mention when you met her/his friends, mention places that you used to go with your spouse. Describe the proposal and wedding and marital life in general.Gather affidavits from family and friends even from your family abroad.

Cheating is not abuse. Discovering after your marriage that the spouse is bisexual is not abuse. Just mentioning that your spouse is an alcoholic or drug addicted is not enough.

Kasoma congratulations! I also had my interview today. Arrived early about 45 minutes before. The officer was nice. When we sat down, he asked me for my passports (old and new). Then he asked when did I come to US, then my full name and address. He asked if that was the safe address to send green card. Asked if I was married before and if I had any kids. Asked if I was working and where. Then we had yes/no questions. Then he was looking over my file for a little bit, scanned my A number to the computer and said you are done. We just need to finish security check. If anything comes up, they will let me know. If not, I should receive GC in about a month. At the end he said congratulations to me. The interview was maybe 25-30 minutes. I recommend to prepare for interview, review your paperwork. He also kept my I94 card and said that I didn't need that anymore. That was it. Now I am hoping the security check will be finished soon. I am glad the interview is over but I have to wait more. I will keep you all posted.

I filed VAWA April 2016 (plus AOS, I765 because husband was USC) and received VAWA prima-facie last week. I had previous AOS (2011 based on marriage I-130) denied for I-9 citizenship claim and I'm worried it could be denied again for this. I have never seen a case where USCIS pulled the I-9 on their own. I seem to be the only one.

You have all been wonderful as I read these posts. Do you have any advice for me?
