Hello all here is my timeline thus far. This site has kept my faith, prayers and hope going and I thank you all. It helps when you're in this situation and all you have is God - that this site also show others are in the same position going through the same struggle.

March 24 2016 - i360, G28, i765 received

April 8th 2016 - i797C NOA1 for i360 and i765 and - USCIS decided to return my money order of $465 for the i765 filing fee!!!

April 14 2016 (date that i received this physical mail)

I have not yet applied for my i485 - as my lawyer indicated its best to wait for an approved i360 and then file the i485.

I hope and pray that my Biometrics comes next and an EAD so I can support myself finally.

April 18 - i360 NOA - request for police clearance report from past 6 months where i lived + 3 years (So Orlando and Canada) ; this will take me 2 weeks

My Online status says - On March 24, 2016, we received your case and waived the filing fee for your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number xxxxxxxxxx. We mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by April 23, 2016, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Should i call the 1-800 number or does this annoy USCIS and make my case delay?

Also because they asked for more info for the i360 - does this delay the i765?

Oti, I am in the same situation waiting for interview date. My file was transferred to another office (NBC) 4 months and 2 weeks ago. I am not sure when exactly it was transferred to my local office. But I checked processing times for my local office and it says as of January 31 they processed July files for I485. It looks like it is the same for Houston. But last update for their website was done March 14 so I am waiting for new update. So I am waiting too and hoping that they will schedule me soon for interview.

OMG my local office is New Orleans. Their backlog is from September 27. 2015. Does it mean i have to wait at least 7 months for interview letter?

I am not sure if website gives the most updated and correct info. Last time I checked in March it showed last case for my local office July 22 2015, but when I checked in April, it shows April 8 2015. It doesn't make sense at all. So I am going to wait a week or so more and then schedule infopass to find out. When was your case transferred from Vermont?

Skazzka remember my case was transffered in Dec 31,Well this month in April i got my interview letter it will be in May and my office is NY.i hope you get yours soon next month.

nkechi go to the police to have a police report done because your husband is keeping your EAD.You have to fill out to get a new I-765 M without the police report USCIS will not issue a new one because you just received your work permit.

savecaveman priority date is just for spouses of GC holders.US Citizen's spouse doesn't have a priority date.The EAD is null and void if the AOS is denied, your attorney should file the VAWA asap and submit a new I-765 because your I-765 will receive a new numbe.r

My I485 was transferred to NBC from Vermont since 11/25/2015.

I hope we have interview date soon.

Linh, mine was transferred on 11/27/2015. It looks like our cases are about the same timeframe. I hope we will get interview dates soon.

Hello VJ family,

I got my interview for my GC interview next month 26th, but my husband will not be attending. I have everything already, just waiting on my psychological evaluation which will also include my therapy sessions. I should be getting everything in about a week to two weeks. As soon as I get everything I will mail out my VAWA packet. What happens and what do I do if I send my VAWA but haven't received a receipt number from USCIS before my GC interview on May 26th? I plan to go to the interview and ask them to put the interview on hold after VAWA approval. Also, another question... do I have to submit a copy of the form I-485 AOS that my husband and I submitted along with my VAWA application? Any final advice???

I hv bn in this forum but never shared my time line. My time line till date are as follows

I485 filed after entering U.S on fiancee visa in November 2013. Abuse made the marriage not work.

Filed VAWA june 2014 when it was clear that there wud be no reconciliation and abusive wife wanted me out of the U.S anyways. I asked USCis to transfer the basis of i485 eligibility to VAWA.

July 2014 RFE was received for goodmoral character and i responded completely in 3 working days.

Initial work authorization expired in december 2014 and i filed a renewal under c(9) pending green card.

I waited hopelessly from july 2014 till october 2015 before VAWA was approved.

I received vawa approval and deffered action notice in the mail in november 2015.

Since then, no further action from USCiS. Its been aix freaking months and these folks would not do anything despite plenty info paas appointment.

Now i moved from texas and i have got a congressman involved. Hopefully i hear good news soon to share with yall.

I got my green card through vawa. my spouse is permanent resident

if he gets his citizenship next year, Can I apply for citizenship using 3 year rule

Nicesky if he naturalizes you will be able to take advantage of the three-year rule.
