NVC: Financial Documents and AOS

I am a United States Citizen living in the United States and we are immigrating my Canadian Citizen Wife via the IR-1.

1. The Department of State website states that the AOS should be mailed as a hard copy to the NVC. We were planning on e-mailing all documents to the NVC and read on the Wiki-page that you should stick to one form of sending documents (e-mail OR snail mail) to avoid confusion. Is it normal to e-mail the AOS with the remainder of the Financial Documents packet?

2. I am the sponsor and my reported income on my W-2 is well above the poverty-level threshold. I gathered my Tax Return Transcripts, Social Security Statements, Proof of Employment, Pay Stubs, etc. and later realized that only the Tax Return Transcripts are necessary and several forms are optional. Is there any harm in including ALL of this information or should I limit it to the Tax Return Transcript and the optional forms suggested on the wiki page?

Thank You in Advance!

1) I believe you need to choose only one method of submission, either mail or e-mail: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_documents.html

2) There is no harm in providing them. In actuality, they strengthen your case and provide further support that you'll be able to easily support your wife once she immigrates to the US and they evidence your ongoing income. Technically you don't have to unless "instructed" but, it's best to get ahead of it and provide it in advance.

From page 7 of the I864 Instructions:

"You are not required to submit this evidence, however, unless specifically instructed to do so by a U.S. Government official. For example, you may include a recent letter from your employer, showing your employer’s address and telephone number, and indicating your annual salary. You may also provide pay stubs showing your income for the previous six months."
