it's really about style. i like my r&b genuine. my rap hardcore. my hiphop back with new jack :content: sort of like busta rhymes. i'll take leaders of the new school over everything else he's ever done..

oh and EXPAT ANSWER THE QUESTION!!

What question? The one about if you rep Islam you rep Islamic law, and if you rep Islamic law you rep rape, murder, and slavery?

That question has been asked and answered several times ad nauseam. You're not very good at playing stupid val.

I think mine's and Janelle's playlist would make you giggle. But my rap is a bit more laid back due to age. If I had to pick, I'd go with vintage Jay-z, DMX(up to album 3), and some other east coasters(Ruff Ryders, Eve, the Lox, etc) but if you want to get the sweet spot? Look outside hardcore and check out the witty rappers(Special Ed, Blacksheep, ATCQ, Jungle Brothers). Or PE NO1 for the lazy win.

yeah. the choice is yours was my absolute favorite song in 6th grade i think? pe is a given. my kid has been listening to this guy hopsin, he's constantly telling me that hopsin is real rap and all that autotune ####### is for loooosers. i was proud he likes what he likes. he tried to school me on eminem the other day, i was like - you do realize i was actively avoiding eminem years before you were born????? i tried to put him on to pe and he said it was boring and too slow. same with geto boys. so i gave up. i'll just let him do his own thing.

oh see, there you were explicit with your intentions and before you were vague.

and i know how you feel with all the repetition, i feel the same about repeating my stance over and over. not playing stupid at all. just wondering if your comprehension is getting up to par.

if we don't stand up for religious freedom (in the us, i'm not talking about any other country here) then i really can't say a damn thing when the angry mob comes after atheists. and they will, usually they come for us first.

If you get a chance, check out the whole first album. Still jam to it every now and again. Lot of good songs that didn't get airplay due to the profanity. Had to google Hospin. He sounds okay, but I'm biased as hell. Autotune is good when used in moderation. And Em was one of the best to do it, but now he's pretty much slowed down.

Vague?

No, I was very direct.

Interestingly however a New Jersey Judge agrees with your little "freedom group"

S.D. v. M.J.R. (N.J. Super. Ct. App. Div.), a domestic restraining order case:

The record reflects that plaintiff, S.D., and defendant, M.J.R., are citizens of Morocco and adherents to the Muslim faith. They were wed in Morocco in an arranged marriage on July 31, 2008, when plaintiff was seventeen years old. The parties did not know each other prior to the marriage. On August 29, 2008, they came to New Jersey as the result of defendant’s employment in this country as an accountant….

[Long discussion of the wife’s allegations of abuse, which included several instances of nonconsensual sex as well as other abuse, omitted for space reasons. -EV]

Upon their return to the apartment, defendant forced plaintiff to have sex with him while she cried. Plaintiff testified that defendant always told her

this is according to our religion. You are my wife, I c[an] do anything to you. The woman, she should submit and do anything I ask her to do.

After having sex, defendant took plaintiff to a travel agency to buy a ticket for her return to Morocco. However the ticket was not purchased, and the couple returned to the apartment. Once there, defendant threatened divorce, but nonetheless again engaged in nonconsensual sex while plaintiff cried. Later that day, defendant and his mother took plaintiff to the home of the Imam and, in the presence of the Imam, his wife, and defendant’s mother, defendant verbally divorced plaintiff….

The judge found from his review of the evidence that plaintiff had proven by a preponderance of the evidence that defendant had engaged in harassment, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2C:33-4b and c, and assault. He found that plaintiff had not proven criminal restraint, sexual assault or criminal sexual contact. In finding assault to have occurred, the judge credited, as essentially uncontradicted, plaintiff’s testimony regarding the events of November 1, 16 and 22, 2008. The judge based his findings of harassment on plaintiff’s “clear proof” of the nonconsensual sex occurring during the three days in November and on the events of the night of January 15 to 16. He did not credit plaintiff’s testimony of sexual assaults thereafter, since there was no corroboration in plaintiff’s complaints to the police. [Footnote: In response to an objection by plaintiff’s counsel, the judge later recognized that the police report upon which he relied in finding no corroboration for plaintiff’s claims had not been admitted in evidence because of its hearsay nature. However, he declined to modify his ruling.]

While recognizing that defendant had engaged in sexual relations with plaintiff against her expressed wishes in November 2008 and on the night of January 15 to 16, 2009, the judge did not find sexual assault or criminal sexual conduct to have been proven. He stated:

This court does not feel that, under the circumstances, that this defendant had a criminal desire to or intent to sexually assault or to sexually contact the plaintiff when he did. The court believes that he was operating under his belief that it is, as the husband, his desire to have sex when and whether he wanted to, was something that was consistent with his practices and it was something that was not prohibited.

Luckily, the appeals court slammed his ruling. You think that's ok? If you do, go ahead and say so. If you don't, speak up. I don't.

maybe you're giving my mind reading skills a bit too much credit. your assertion (below) is vague. i asked for clarification "defend what"

"Every single time one of our VJ colleagues speaks up to defend this - this is what he or she is condoning:"

and what do you mean by "your little 'freedom group'" ?

anyway, you need to understand that i don't like christianity or islam. they are both misogynist at their very core. they both promote misogyny even in their milder forms. that is why i do not personally practice either religion. i would never marry some one who was a practicing muslim or a practicing christian or any other religion for that matter. why? because i would fundamentally disagree with that person's basic beliefs and that's no good for any long term intimate relationship. i can have friends who are religious. i read religious books and appreciate religious art, but at the end of the day - i do not have a religion. and that is my right as an american. i'm going to defend that right to the end, and i won't make any sort of apologies for it. i don't know what you're trying to prove - that islam should be uh..ended? banned? IMPOSSIBLE. try to end a religion, the religion will get stronger. people have to leave a god the same way they come to the god - of their own free will.

I would +1 but I'm on a handphone (Xmas travels).

Perhaps the finger would be better pointed at one in this thread who has actually blamed the victim, but what do I know.
