Hi everyone.

I am in the US now and I have a Green Card, I am planning to visit my home country for a week. Does anyone know if I need a transit visa to Switzerland for couple of hours? My ticket is from USA-Canada-Switzerland then Lebanon.

Thanks everyone.

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

Since you travel on the Lebanese passport you have the same visa requirements as prior to the green card. The green card won't make a difference.

It's a tricky one. Lebanon isn't listed among the countries that need a transit visa and it's not listed among the countries that doesn't need a transit visa!

Send an email to the Swiss embassy perhaps?

This is one of the airport-visa exemption:

Holders of a valid

residence permit according to annex V of the visa code, issued by one of the following states:

-

Andorra

-

Canada

-

Japan

-

San Marino

-

United States of America

I carry a residency card issued by the US, so I think I dont need one if I am changing flights in swiss airport.

If you are staying withing the transit area of the airport for less than 48 hours and will just be changing the plane, you don't need a transit visa.
