The question is (((( I wanna quit from my job coz i got another job , but my old job need notice two weeks notice , if I wait two weeks i will lose the new job ?

If I left my old job without notice (( no show )) do you think this will affect my application for the citizenship ?

Not at all!

Your job has nothing to do with your Citizenship application as long as it is legal, except it needs your name of the company, date you begins to work, date you left and your occupation. That's all.

Did you tell the new job that you're current employer requires a 2 week notice? Most employers are understanding about this as it is courtesy. If the new job cannot wait then why do you have to do a no call now show? Simply inform them that you took a new job and are unable to give a 2 week notice.

I can't imagine this affecting immigration.

Hope it all works out. Good Luck!

You can talk to your new job folks about the situation or you can just do a No SHOW.

However, you can't come back to the old job ever again if you don't notify them. It is just a common courtesy unless they made your life hell then...

its pretty normal standards that when you apply for a new job with them knowing you have a job already that they give you 2 weeks to start working so you can give your old job a 2 weeks notice. its pretty standard. did you tell your new job you was working somewhere else? If you didn't I could understand why or maybe on your application when they asked for a start date you put Today or something. nothing that will hinder your citizenship of course but just weird they wont let you give a 2 weeks notice since they wouldn't want you to do that to them im sure.

even if you cant go back I would call them and just say hey sorry I got a new job and they want me to start right away. I apologize but I cant come back. so at least they can find a replacement for the time being instead of sitting around waiting for you to come in. but I don't know what type of job so maybe they already have enough people to cover your shift but anyways I would call at least even if you wont go back.

to answer your question it isn't going to effect your citizenship so your good to go!

CAN YOU EXPLAIN WHY ((( they made MY life hell then...)))

I don't understand your question. I said if they made your life hell at that job... It is up to you. I didn't say they made your life hell.

One day notice?

If they work by a weekly schedule, 1 day notice is as good as No Show.

Giving two weeks notice is a courtesy, not a requirement and will have zero effect as far as your application for citizenship.

It is also customary for a new job to allow you two weeks to start so that you can give the previous job two weeks. As you have experienced they don't always follow that either. I would at least call the previous job if you can't and make it in personally and explain your situation "I received a job offer a the last minute but it was contingent on me starting today so I need to end my employment. I am so sorry for the late notice."

Good luck with the new job!

Oh I see. Well you did you're best then. If it's a better job you have to do what's good for you and your family.

Employment in the US is generally at will. This means the employer can fire you at any time without any reason without any notice, and the employee can leave at any time without any reason without any notice. It's nice to give notice, but that's just a courtesy. They could even fire you after you give notice, if they want (though it's not to their advantage to do so).

If the old job is important to your career, give them notice as you will need them often for referrence

If it is "just a job", don't worry

Start the new job as you have to worry about what is best for you

and it now is true in the US that emplyers and emloyees no longer have loyaltys to each other

I gave them a notice then started my job the next day, but my old job want me to stay two weeks !!!! lol

I`m not losing a good job for the worst job.

the question about the application for the citizenship not about the courtesy .

Thanks
