They r waiting. It's hard because his job is in Dubai and he took off for interview process and now can't go back, because co kept his passport. What they do in ap? And if they check background then they should atleast update the date if they work on the case.

I hear it's been taking quite a long time for green cards to come. Seems about 45 days.

You can call USCIS and ask them for tracking information and what the status is.
