I applied for my 2 brothers around 13 years ago now everything is complete and after the interview co asked for i864a from both my brothers. One brother had interview on 24 and other had 25 November. I sent those papers cover lettered and stapled separately but in one envelope. Now last Friday 11 December my one brother who had his interview on 24 got visa, but no update about my other brother. I am worrying if they got papers to proper case or not? It's still showing ap and no case update date change either. Any one have idea what could be wrong? Should I send them papers again? Any help? Thanks.

Maybe you should contact the embassy and ask about whether or not they received the missing documents.

I don't know how it is for Pakistan, but for Bangladesh, there are specific days where you can bring the missing documents in person to the embassy as long as you have the 221G form. That may be something you want to do by sending the docs to your brother and having him bring it. That way, you know for sure that it was received.

Documents were in the same envelope where my other brothers were. They updated his and sent him visa but not this brother yet. I am confused that if they can get done one case from same envelope why not other. I am sure they got the papers. Because they were in same envelope. I am thinking of waiting this week otherwise sent it again next week.

Maybe they assumed the documents were for one case?

When you check your other brother's ceac case status, does it say that it was updated? If they did get the papers then it should have an updated date.

Ohh, then that means they haven't "touched" his file. Every time they open it, the status will be updated.

In that case, I would say contact the embassy or send the documents again.

Do you know when the package was delivered? I know it took some time for my uncle's visa in BD to be issued because of a holiday (Dec 16) and then the embassy was closed on Friday and Saturday.

Hopefully, they'll get to it before the Christmas holiday.

AP can take a loooong time.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Ahh, I see...yes, AP can take a long time and its actually common for men from Muslim-majority countries. From personal experience, my uncle was in AP for about 1.5 years. There's nothing to do but wait at this point until the AP is completed.
