So Ustraveldocs informed that most AP cases take at least 60 days. I asked of the 60 days starting from the day of the interview ?they told me no. The 60 days start from the date that the case status last updated. is this true? I also asked if the status date only changes if I email them or call to inquire about the case. They told me that was false the only way the status date would update is if something was added to the case or updated. Can someone please tell me what is right ? im really confused and being in AP is very frustrating! !

No set time for AP, you just wait.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

You can take a look in the AP forum. There are many many VJers stuck in the black hole of AP. No one can tell you when you will get out. Some get out in a few weeks, a few months, or years later. Look back a few pages of the AP forum and you will see others in your same position.

Best of Luck to you! Hope you get issued soon!

Petra Michalak:The Ceac website says AP. but keep.in mind my spouse has a ten yr ban on him.8 years have past we are going into the 9th yr. We were told his case was closed. So we had an interview and the consulate reopened his case. Will he be in Ap until the 9th and 10 th year is over?

JennNMike :Ive noticed this as well but Ustraveldocs told me otherwise. I called the embassy on dec. 10 and then when i hung up the phone the status changed. The same goes for the second time it updated two day later dec 12. after I called it was updated.

LionessDion: Thank You so much I will check those links out. I dont want to be stuck in Ap for two years. ? Ive already been in jordan for 8 yrs. I want to see my family in Memphis. I could travel with the kids but I dont want to seperate my 2 yr old and yr old from their father.

AP can be anywhere from a few days to a few years. No one can tell you how long it will last. My husband had AP in Jordan for 10 weeks
