Beyond that I still have a couple issues with the subject of the article: The first thing they do when building a face from a skull is to determine the persons race so they know skin tone, facial characteristics such as the nose and lips, and how thick to apply fat/skin/muscles at various parts of the face. They can't construct an accurate face without the previous knowledge of how a face for a particular race is generally is built. This technique can't be used to point out anything about genetic makeup because it is an assumption by the artist/scientist creating the face before they begin.. In this case they are taking skull fragments from a time when we really did not know and making assumptions, then constructing the face and saying "Wow! it resembles exactly what I was setting out to build!" They are *probably* right but there is some circular logic going on there.

On unknowable things such as the hair length: If Jesus existed one thing he was not was "normal." Trying to assign attributes based on assumed stereotypical norms of the time seems a tad pointless to me. If he was a shyster he did everything he could to stand out: bright clothing, long hair, flowing movements etc.. If he was genuine well - same thing.

If I remember right the first written record mentioning Jesus was 80 years after he is said to have died. With no other physical evidence existing of the man at all how accurate could any account be?
