Well, tomorrow is the big day that we will mail of our I-129F Fiance Visa petition. I've followed the instructions for the form but I find people online who say to include more documents than are asked for in the instructions so I want REAL help from real people who have done this.

This is what we have:

USCIS Form I-129F completed by myself, the petitioner and US Citizen

This form is typed on computer, then printed.

Page 1 has all areas filled out EXCEPT Alien Registration Number (because I don't have this) and I didn't complete 4. City of Birth or 5. Country of Birth because I thought this was referring to the Alien Registration Number but IF NOT, can I just write this in ink? I also included the name of my prior spouse 1. In addition, I'm sending photo copies of the complete divorce decree signed by the judge and stamped that it was filed at the courthouse on the same day. I also enclosed a certified copy of the Divorce Certificate both of which were only finalized on 11/5/15 even though we've been separated and maintaining separate residences in different cities for 4 years.

Page 2 part 1 (for me continued): I marked that I am born in the US on line 13a and say NO to 13d that I have not obtained a Certificate of Citizenship in my name. I also say NO to 14.

because I have never filed for an alien fiance before. Page 2 part 2 about my fiance I listed his Moroccan Address from 3b-3i as it reads on his ID card in French. All Moroccan documents are in Arabic and French so I believe this alleviates needing to show the Arabic letters for the address. BUT I do have a question about using the French. For example: RUE means Street or Avenue in French but I think Americans might confuse this to mean he lives on RUE street. Is this an issue? Also what's up with zip code and postal code? These are identical pieces of information. Should we write this information twice or just once. In addition, finding the Province was complicated and we hope we got them right. We completed his whole section except he doesn't have a middle name and has never used other names so those parts are blank as well as STATE and Postal Code. Any mistakes there? Documents to support this section for me include: Photocopied birth certificate but only the front side because I couldn't find my original so I just copied the copy. The birth certificate would prove citizenship but it is incomplete. In addition to that, I copied my complete US passport to prove citizenship since I didn't have the back of my certificate but I'm worried about my expiration date. They say you can use your US passport for proof of US Citizenship IF you have 5 years left on the passport. So today is 12/13/15 and my passport expires on 12 May 2020. Now that looks like 5 years but in reality, it is 4 years and 5 months. Do you think I have met the burden of proof for US Citizenship?

Page 3 talks about prior spouses and children of my alien fiance of which he has NONE so this whole page is blank. He also has never come to the US so no travel documents are needed.

Page 4 I have typed in my home address for the address where my fiance intends to live and again his Moroccan address and his cell phone number for the daytime phone number. Since his documents are in French (Roman Alphabet letters) I did not write his name and address in Arabic. I marked no relation on line 33 and that YES we had met in person within 2 years on line 34 and for line 34a I stated, "I flew to Morocco meet my fiance and his family from Nov. 21-Dec. 1, 2015" We did not use a marriage broker. Supporting documents for 34 and 34a include outgoing/incoming copies of flight itineraries from emails as well as copies of the last two boarding passes on each leg of the flight. In addition we enclosed one family photo of all of us out eating dinner at a restaurant, one family photo eating family meal at home (my engagement ring in full view), one closeup photo of his mother and I, three up close smiling photos on different days of us together and two photos of us on the beach where we wrote our names in the sand saying we love each other with out footprints and filled them with sea shells. We did one in Arabic and one in English. We are in the photo making a heart with our hands. In addition, you can see in my passport that I have the Moroccan stamps for entry into the country. I didn't really have ANY receipts because I stayed with his family and in Morocco everything is in CASH. We bought most things in the Souk, which is a traditional market where people don't give receipts. I had some airport receipts but I didn't think these were important. I think I may have had one receipt showing I had changed some dollars to Moroccan dirhams. Should I include any of these receipts?

Page 5 only shows his Embassy in Casablanca, Morocco and lines 2a, 2b, and 2c all checked NO because I have NO criminal convictions and he has NO criminal convictions. The rest of this page is blank because neither of us are military.

Page 6 is signed by ME as the US Citizen, petitioner in BLUE INK since I heard someone say they got rejected for blank ink. the bottom is blank since I completed it myself.

We completed two G-325A, Biographic forms. One for me and one for him. For me, US citizen, the only questions I had were for City of County of Residence for my father, I wrote deceased, and the city and country. Also it asked about the applicant's last address outside the US for more than 1 year. I wrote the city, state, country and dates but couldn't remember the street address. We were stationed in Germany way back in 1990-92 so I included this but I don't know the street and have no way to find out. Is this a problem? I also marked that this form was submitted with an application for : OTHER and I wrote in K1Visa and I signed in BLUE INK and dated it. HIs biographic form is missing the province of one residence in Casablanca because we couldn't find it.

I have a passport style photo of Saad that he gave me before I left Morocco but I still need to take mine. I plan to use an application I downloaded on my phone called ID photo print. But I'm not sure how good they will look. I will print at Walgreen's just in case and take their paid photos if needed.

I still need to get the MONEY for fee. I want to go to my bank and get a Cashier's Check because I don't use checks. I only use debit cards. Is this a good idea? Feedback please.

So the last item we plan to enclose is the INTENT to MARRY letter. Frankly I think the samples online are drab and boring and not showing them that you are eager to marry or are in love or anything. So my letter is a bit more personal but still INCLUDES that statement that everyone uses about being legally able to marry and will do so in 90 days, etc.

OK, so if you made it this far you deserve a 40 hour flight itinerary to beautiful MOROCCO! Thanks for you help.

Welcome to the forum.

At it stands, your initial posting is very difficult to read, suggest that you put it in table format. You will likely get more informed responses.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

You don't edit your post, you add a follow-up post in this thread, in a format similar to itemized table format of the the K1 Guide: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide Review some forum threads for numerous previous examples.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Some things I picked up on while reading this.

In your explanation of how you met, you say that you flew to Morocco during certain dates. You need to include that because it explains when you met in person, but they are also looking for an explanation as to how you got to know each other.

Examples: "We were introduced on Facebook through mutual friends in (date)" "We met on suchandsuch.com dating site in (Date)"

Including photos with family and friends is important. Make sure to write on the backs of the photos dates and who is in them. If this was your only trip to Morocco, I highly suggest that add more content proving your relationship. A long history of talking long distance. More photos. Anything that you have that shows that you know him longer than before November 21st. This is not a requirement for the petition, but it is suggested for this consulate as Morocco is considered a high fraud country.

Include your boarding passes along with your passport stamps showing entry into Morocco. No need to include the receipts for things inside Morocco.

You BOTH need an intent to marry letter, not just you.

Cashiers check is fine.

I did not double check that all of the spaces on the form were filled out correctly, but rather was checking for content. Hope this helps!

In addition to the previous advise... You may also want to put "N/A" or "None" for the sections that are not applicable, rather than just leaving them blank. Also, we each included our own summary of the history of our relationship with a statement of intent to marry at the top, in bold. Why not just get Walgreens to do your passport-style photo (they do that and it's inexpensive), rather than using a phone app?

Why would they want to do that instead of leaving them blank like the I-129F form instructions state to do?

Well, if that's what the instructions say, apologies for my erroneous advise. We did that, and know of others that did, to avoid any confusion over whether the information was not applicable or incomplete. OP should disregard my post, as it conflicts with the instructions.
