Hi. Am just wondering if how soon can I start to sponsor my girlfriend and 2 kids (lets say if I go back to PHL and marry her). Can I immediately start to file the petition (F2A)? I've heard that you need to wait for 2 years before you can start to petition? I wanted to solicit advice from expert and experienced VJs.

PS:

btw, i received my GC today, 58 days from POE.

hi

who told you that? of course you can file for her once you are married

marry, return and file for them

hi

you will need some proof of bona fide marriage that's all, but you don't have to wait 2 years to file, that's ridiculous

hi

she might have misunderstood because the process until you can file the second part of paperwork at the NVC takes close to 2 years, it may or may not be a little sooner, but it could take 2 years for the interview, so you will have to travel to see them
