Anyone here who got their NOA2 this December??.. Im not sure if Im correct but it seems like they slowed down processing of NOA2 for Philippines.. I did a timeline search for Philippines with NOA1 date of Nov 01-10, and only 2 out of 11 got their Noa2. I see Noa2 approved from other countries with Nov 09 Noa1 date.

I read an interview with an USCIS adjudicator here on this forum. He described what working at a service center is like and how the work process looked like from his perspective. From what I understood, petitions are not grouped by country, but more or less by date, about 50 petitions to a box. There is a big shelf of boxes (many more stored elsewhere) where an adjudicator grabs a box of petitions to work on. I'm not saying that there are not certain other steps thats are required for different countries (looking in different databases), but it sounded like once the adjudicator opens the file, he can be done in as little as 15 minutes. If he needs to issue an RFE, he keeps the file until the RFE is returned.

Due to the random nature of taking a box off the shelf and working on it, or even adjudicators working remotely from home who took a few boxes, your petition can come up early or late, depending on your luck.

Here is a link to the interview, a very good read: http://www.visajourney.com/content/adjudicator-q-and-a

If you have very bad luck, an adjudicator took a box to his desk and then went on vacation without checking the box back in. :ranting:

If the adjudicator is on leave I just hope he will comeback soon so these cases will be touched

You are correct, the expedite for the Philippines, because of Yolanda, has ended.

We got our NOA1 10/28-ish. Still waiting for NOA2 even though other people here, and ones personally known, filed later and got their NOA2 already (all from Philippines).

I know people on the site are being as encouraging as possible. I am praying hard because the situation for us got a bit more difficult.
