I-751 Divorce Waiver

Hello VJ,

I've been posting here for a while and posted through my latest H1B, and AOS through marriage. Unfortunately, that marriage fell apart pretty quickly and now I'm filing a I-751 divorce waiver. Just got an email from my lawyer that the application was sent out today. I figured a lawyer would be best since I had all kinds of evidence so I wanted someone to organize it for me. It really was a legitimate marriage, we were in love and lived as a married couple until it all fell apart. My ex felt guilty, and originally took all the blame, then realized that it wasn't going to get me back so he changed his tune.

I do have an affidavit from him, as well as a card listing and apologizing for everything he put me through.

Now my question is: if (I know it's likely I will) get called for an interview, should I bring him? He said he would be willing to do it with advance notice. Is it beneficial?

Thank you!

I filed and got approved recently on a divorce waiver. No interview was needed. Just had enough evidence. I would only have him come to the interview if you know for sure he would be of help.

Frankly you don't really need him to be there and affidavits are not highly regarded as evidence. Things are rental leases / house deeds, joint tax returns, bank accounts, health insurance coverage would be more important.
